Regarding the "Best Looking Poster @ SECTalk
I suspect that detailed analysis of the vote will determine that portions of the Mod Votes can be attributed to one of three reasons:
1. Voters' deliberate choice not to vote in the race.
2. A poorly designed ballot, coupled with voter failure to adequately review selections.
3. Suspected bribary
I also suspect that recanvassing the ballots will not yield any more information than we have today. The only way we will know who the voters actually selected to represent the "Best Looking Poster is to repoll the voters.
As soon as these ballots are returned, they should be locked up until there is a court order to count them.
However, no precedent was set on this issue in the election because the Supreme Court decision halted all legal action.
Allowing the Mods election to stand without a revote would set a dangerous legal precedent -- that voters have no protection or recourse against a poorly designed or misleading ballot.
Thank you,
