Awesome post GeauxTo.... I was glued to that video. I know we have immigration problems but that right there adds a certain visual shocker to it that illustrates the seriousness of the problem.

This should be played for all kids in school. It's simple and so true, yet it is fervently being stifled by political wing-nuts that think the world's problems are America's fault and the only solution is to dissolve our sovereignty. What humanitarian aid will our country be able to provide once we're destroyed from within? Lindsay Graham (SC-R Senate) is one such tool. I'd vote for anyone to get him out of office. Let him move to Arizona with his idol McCain.

Yeah, I dont really feel like talking about this issue because based on who's running for office things arent gonna change much for at least 5 more years. I guess at least Lou Dobb's has job security.

The whole immigration issue makes my blood boil. As long as the cheap labor makes the rich richer and the bleeding hearts believe that unlimited entry into our country is cool, nothing will change.

People talk about social security, global warming and all sorts of stupid crap that has little effect on us, and ignore the issues which are the the most important. Immigration should take center stage, even ABOVE the war, but until voters stand up and SAY they CARE about immigration, nothing will be done.

yep, and it should be done this next election, so far I have not found anyone with a clear stance on immigration. That would be a swift road to victory IMO, if one of the candidates had the mentality of Tancredo, I'd vote for that person, regardless of party.

That's why Ron Paul has garnered so much support. He's the only one that preaches hard about securing our borders. Too bad the other candidates haven't learned anything from him. :headshake

I'll just have to get over the feeling that he seems like a Sociopath and vote for him.

I fully intend to vote for him if the Republican candidates don't get on the ball with immigration. I intend to make a statement with my vote, not just vote for the lesser evil.

Yep. I'll never make that mistake again. If we could get 50% of voters to take the same approach, it would totally screw up the political demographics that these politicians have the luxury of knowing.

it is unfortunate that we share such a vast open border w/a country very unlike us in standard of living...........its a complex issue frankly and Im as concerned today as I have been, I just can't, myself, think of the most effective way to address it so as to politicians suggestions I am not intelligent enough on the subject to know what to buy into.............unemployment shows that we do need the labor force that Mexicans have been more than happy to volunteer for so I am not completely against an Amnesty policy followed by a damn wall being built w/a lock down policy in place........the manpower/money required to deport existing aliens would be as costly as supporting them so thats why I give the Amnesty, or my version of it, some credence

how does unemployment show that we need TB carrying workers?

You wouldn't have to deport anyone aza, DEMAGNITIZE and they will leave on their own. Start enforcing our current laws is all I want.
