VDArk has spent the last year railing relentlessly against the Bama fans here because of the way Nick Saban was hired. He has repeatedly called Saban "manwhore". Now that Arkie has hired a coach in a far sketchier manner than Bama ever dreamed of, its time for him to take his medicine.:thumpsup:

For whatever reasons, Bobby Petrino has jumped around a lot as a coach. I truly doubt this move to Arkansas is long-term. If he follows his old patterns he will be gone in 2-4 years. But, who knows, maybe he will settle down and stay awhile, but I doubt it. Once you get those hot feet you usually have to keep moving to the next job.

Is he a manwhore? Maybe that is a bit harsh, but like some other coaches, a few that is, he does tend to change jobs very often. It's possible he just can't get settled and needs constant change, but that is hardly consolation to the team and fans left behind.

Arkansas has hired a good coach, a winning coach, but has not hired someone likely to be around very long. You have probably solved the short term problem by postponing the long term one.

He could have stayed and saved a little face on the matter. Arkansas needed an answer so they could save some worthy recruits. IM giving you that mush. As a fan, all IM saying. Screw the recruiting period at this tiem and count your losses then regroup. It sounds drastic, but what we have gone through with the Nutt haters and all, we didn't need any more of this negative press that we are now getting in the matter.
As far as a Manwhore, again, it's in my recent release book titled, "Tim, you little wuss", on sale now at the better book stores, You can call Petrino a Manwhore in regards to his actions in Louisville, but this as I have stated, is not a money issue coming to Arkansas, it's a family issue. His wife was miserable and wanted a change for her family as see seen that Bobby wasn't happy with what he had gotten himself into in Atlanta. The only thing you can compare Petrino and $aban to is, both can't handle the mature athlete, that being a big time professional players with a huge salary. The two are better with the college game and one is better at it than the other guy who is overrated, and the true manwhore for his reasons for leaving the Dolphins.

Hired Gun= A coach who goes to the highest bidder, and who will switch sides anytime a better deal is offered. No one trusts him, and even fewer like him, but he has too damn much talent to ignore. You dislike him if he's yours and hate him if he's their's. He's a back shooting, double-crossing, two-bit of a human, but, we better hire him before they do.
