Maybe I'm alone in this one, but is anyone else having a difficult time finding any info on the program lately? Aside from a friend in law school at UM, I haven't heard much of a peep out of anyone regarding anything. All my sources are locked up. Anyone have anything to add or maybe some info to quench my thirst?

You have to understand Ole Miss has one of the more chatty Kathy athletic administrations in the country. When Orgeron was hired you wouldn't believe how much information was pouring out of there about his recruiting plans, staff, and so forth. With Nutt, we only know for sure of 3 assistants and have no idea who of the current commits he will keep or if there are any Arkansas recruits that might come with. I have beaten the bushes pretty hard and only gotten one story about Hugh Freeze...it is torture!

He's just enjoying his fresh start in Oxford. Doing things that he would NEVER be able to do had he stayed a 'Hog.

Well since Nutt became the head rebel, I have notice a change in some of the minds of recruits. Once solid verbal, now they have reported on taking other visits they first didn't plan to make, Ole Miss being one of them.
One of the states top running backs from Camden Fairview, De'Anthony Curtis has backed off the Hogs just a bit. Along with Curtis, Russellville Arkansas Offensive tackle Matt Hall once dead set with Arkansas has announce that he will plan a visit with Ole Miss along with Oklahoma State and Missouri. Hall would be a great steal for somebody. At 6-9 and 306, Matt is this years high school version of Lee Zimba who started for Auburn as a true freshman this past season. Hall is reported to really like UA former offensive line coach Mike Markuson, which is reported to be joining Nutt in Oxford. What a pick-up with these two if they change their minds and head east. Arkansas was really looking forward to having these tow kids on campus next year.
Others who was solid with Arkansas now looking at Ole Miss include:
Warren HS - WR-Jarius Wright, WR-Greg Childs and ATH-Basmine Jones. That's three of the four Arkansas was banking on.
Camden Fairview HS - DT-Lavunce Askew
Fort Smith Northside HS -OG-Austin Eoff
Alpharetta (GA) Chattahoochee - DE-Justin Smith
Memphis (TN) Whitehaven - OLB-Tenarius Wright
I feel these are 10 recruits that before Nutt was hired by the Rebels, had no intentions of going to Ole Miss. Now the Rebels have a great chance to get over half of these kids. Shows what a coach can do. makes an impact on a kid as you can clearly see.

You can click on this and see some of what is happening. It appears Nutt is trying to find some immediate help from the community college ranks.
Brandon Green at center and maybe Gerald Harris from Texas, tight end.

Without a head coach and with most of the staff leaving for Oxford after the bowl game it has to be all but impossible to recruit new players beyond the current list and those on that list who are not strongly committed to Arkansas will be looking around.
A new coach needs to be hired and brought in within the next few weeks. Then he can bring in a few new assistants and try to recruit and hold onto those on Nutt's list that the new coach may want to bring into the Arkansas program.
It looks like we 'Ole Miss' may benefit by the confusion and struggles at Arkansas. Sometimes just a couple of good players can really turn around a program. I hope we get a few.

I hope we hang on to Curtis. He's a very Brian-Westbrook-like player. Can't let those guys get away.

UPDATE:
With the hiring of Bobby Petrino this may have all changed. I now feel that these 10 young men will sign with the Razorbacks, with Bells on. What offensive player wouldn't want to play for this guy?
