View Full Version : Does Tebow go pro if he wins the Heisman this year?

Okay, I had forgotten he is a sophmore. I know that a sophmore cannot go pro. I do understand that. Hey! I do make mistakes from time to time. So be easy on me!
Here's how the sentence should read:
Does Tebow go pro if he wins the Heisman as well next year? What would he have to play for after that? My bad.
Well, he looks like he is having fun playing for the Gators, and gets a kick out of the competition of playing the LSUs, Florida States', Tennessees and Georgia's of college football! Having to play Florida every year, it wouldn't break the heart of this LSU fan if he did go pro real real real earlier! I want him to become very wealthy as soon as he can in the NFL! lol Seriously, Tebow represents Florida and the SEC with class, and I think he raises the level of competition every week. I think he takes the Heisman this year, but if he doesn't, he will next year.

I think not. Not this year anyways. He carries a pretty high GPA and from what Ive heard/read about him, he wants to get his degree.
NTM I hear his family is pretty well off, which means Tebow is well off too. So I wouldn't assume he needs the $$$ just yet.
I do however think that if he is loading up on classes and has enough to graduate by his junior year, he could go pro then. I hope not but I think its possible.

Well, that's pretty classy stuff, crawfish; but, I don't think I'm going to be the bearer of good news. Because he's like you state, he's determined to finish school, and play all four years. He reaffirmed that the other day; and said regardless of personal and team accomplishments, he wanted to play all 4 years like his hero, Danny.

I couldn't remember if eligibility was after Sophmore year or not? If not, my bad. I have been known to make a mistake or two from time to time! I guess I was getting a little anxious for him to make it to the big league! lol
If he doesn't win it this year, and wins it next year...does he go?

Agreed. With the way kids bolt early today, I'll be thrilled to see a kid finish his commitment, for a change. Hope he keeps that mindset... it's part of what makes him great in the first place.

Oh yeah genius, give me a break. Like you're so bright you've never wrote something that you were mistaken about it even though you knew it. Has nothing to do with whether someone KNOWS their sports. What a irrogant statement. But hey, if that made you feel good and fuzzy on the inside to type that, well, I'm sure Dr. Phil would be proud of you. Hilarious! It's no bigger for me to make a mistake from time to time and admit I'm not perfect.

I don't see a mistake. There's nothing wrong with the thread, other than the fact that somebody who mistakenly thinks they know something about sports decided to soil it with their lame opinion about you. TD proves that my little sister has forgotten more about sports than he ever knew, each time somebody lets him near a keyboard. The topic is just about whether or not Tebow would go early. Whether or not he can do it this upcoming year is irrelevant. Everybody else knew what you were talking about.

He is just upset because you are talking about Tebow and not Mcfadden. TD thinks that the Heisman goes to whoever played the best the last couple weeks as opposed to throughout the course of the year. Take his opinion with a grain of salt...if that.

Well there is no reason to be a complete ass over someone making a mistake. Just because he is a mod doesn't mean he is perfect. Why don't you go make a thread letting everyone know how perfect you are.
P.S. That should be "pass." See how easy it is to make a mistake?

If Tebow could go pro this year, this would be the perfect year for him to do it! I am guessing that either Miami or Atlanta will have the first pick and they both need QBs. If Miami gets the first pick then he has a chance to solidify his legend in his home state. How often do you get the chance to be a high school, college, and pro legend in your home state?

Good point TD. :thumpsup:Thanks for recognizing that we're loaded at LSU with very talented freshman that played this year, not to mention that we redshirted 18true freshmen from that Top 5 class. Yes, we're loaded and will continue going to BCS games for years to come. So yeah, IF THEY COULD be drafted after their freshmen year, they would be gone. Man, I am fired up about how loaded we are at LSU! Again, thanks TD!

And I really like your line "and the rest of the people that has be banned..."
Those are not typos, but blatant English deficiencies. Stay in school... try to at least finish the 8th grade. You'll have better opportunities in the job market.

Nothing in sports is a bigger and more corrupt joke than NCAA football. How in hell can players not be "eligible" to go out and make millions if they are physically able. The whole system smacks of collusion. Besides, how is it that the players make millions for a school and conference and yet they don't share the money? This is a bullshit system designed to make a couple of college presidents rich at the expense of extremely talented kids who risk injury and get nothing out of the deal. I will be glad when the NCAA is bitch slapped and top players refuse to work for nothing.
BTW McFadden not only single handedly beat-down the Tigers, he absolutely exposed the number one team in the BCS for what they are. Weak and wounded. I hope you guys don't overlook the nutz - for the sake of the SEC.

Your very welcome. I might have got ahead of myself, blowing you up about making an error yesterday. I was quick on the trigger and didn't think before posting. And for that Im sorry. If I would have given the thread some thought and realize who it came from and the influence's you had to make such a goof, I would have better understand it. It's clear that Less Miles has had a large influence on your life and his stupidity has at last reached the LSU fans base. So this isn't really about you making a common error about something you didn't know anything about, it's just another sad sad story and another poor guy looking up to a moron.
We have that same problem in our state with thousands of people looking up to University of Arkansas Chancellor John White. Soon we will have several more people making mistakes just like you Crawfish.

As awesome as he is, there are still many who doubt Tebow's throwing abilities especially in an NFL system. I am not one of those as I watched in horror as he riddled our secondary with pinpoint passes with a very strong arm. I think he would be better served to stay four years to prove the doubters wrong and to improve his throwing game before entering the draft.

first bolded statement:
I here this argument soooooo often.........collusion? No, NFL is "the" entity, not "an industry", that makes decisions, a collusion takes place among competitors secretly arriving at an agreement that will benefit themselves over other competitors
second bolded statement:
so the players arent getting up to $200,000 in education, food, equipment, apparrel, lodging, stipends for travel, the opportunity to travel, the opportunity to position themselves for pro status by virtue of the exposure they receive?????
and still, does your logic suggest that all of the cashiers who are "making" money for Walmart should not make $8 hr but $10,000 hr??
