C. AU fans on Bo
D. Bama fans on Coach PBB
E. UT fans on P. Manning
F. Miss fans on Archie

My vote is UGA for now..... But Tebow threads may overtake my vote.

Watch a gator fan will give me Tebow Man Crush stats and say I'm talking out my ass for not saying Tebow.

The better question is who cares what Bamafan has to say?

For the past couple years (not throughout history, I know), I would add SC fans with Sidney Rice. He will likely be replaced with the man on the left, Jasper Brinkley, in the 08 season.

edit: didn't realize it was multiple choice, I'd go with a tie b/t Herschel and Peyton

i can honestly say that we UT fans love us some Peyton Manning.

i mean, come on.
the 2nd favorite NFL team in the state of tennessee is the colts.
yes, the colts. as in the main division rival of the Tennessee Titans.
why else would that be?

BamaFanNKy
12-06-2007, 10:24 PM
Are you sure..... I swear I see more people from Tennessee in Nashville on gameday playing the Colts wearing a Peyton Jersey. It's kind of cool.

This has to excite you as much as it pained me:

the reason i say the whole state, is because of memphis.
the city of memphis, the largest in the state, widely hates UT.
they all love them some vince young, but can't stand rocky top.

i made it out of there alive, though.

Meet gatoru's girlfriend. Yeah, it's me. It is true that we pull for eachother's team and I wear a Florida tee for all their games. I even went to Homecoming in Gainesville and cheered for the Gators, but I am a Bama fan inside and out. These two schools have a respect for eachother that is to be envied. We play clean games with eachother and we admire eachothers talent and tradition. As a Bama fan I can say that although we have had problems at QB, it is not in the best interest of our team to get personal and ugly about a player who is doing the best he can do. It is not his fault that he was chosen by the coach to do this job. But I am not going to attack him personally because I am not happy that Saban has put him at the helm. I am going to hope he will be encouraged by his teammates and Bama fans. Help, don't hurt. As far as Tebow is concerned, I don't agree with the idea that it is a Tebow Religion the Gators are involved in. Football fans love football. They worship TALENT if you say they worship anything. He has immense talent. I hope he wins the Heisman. And gatoru and I are united in our thoughts about this.

Is it common for Titans fans to hate UT and its fans? My uncle said he went to a Titans game either last year or the year before; and he was just passing by a huge group of Titans fans tailgating. There was this guy about 6'8" 300lbs. standing there when a kid and his girlfriend came walking up decked out in their UT gear. The huge dude took one look at the kid, and said, "Boy, you better get that *&%#$ hat off your head! This is pro ball... there ain't no room for that sissy sh*t around here!". Kid had to take his hat off... right there in front of his girl, too. Is that normal?

No. That was either a guy from my side of the border in Kentucky or across by my relatives in Bama. UT fans have open borders in Nashville. Hell, I see people decked out at Vandy games when UT is playing in Knoxville. I am a Bama fan. I have sense to wear black or neutral colors when Vandy is playing someone other than Bama.

He said those pro football fans hate college football fans... even UT ones. I thought that was pretty strange. Of course, I don't think there was anyone lining up to stick up for the kid... 6'8" 300 is grown.

Let's be honest (I don't go to many pro games) the NFL fans are pretty dang blue collar. I remember going to Raiders games as a kid and recently went to Pittsburgh. I now know why the NFL doesn't work world wide as much as other sports. College is miles ahead.

that's a big guy.

i agree. it's probably a guy who played for bumf*ck a&m, and never once beat tennessee.

i don't know too well how people in nashville react to ut, but most of the city likes ut fine. memphis, on the other hand, actually thinks we (UTK) are a rival of theirs. as memphis has only won 1 game against UT in football, that apparently constitutes a rivalry.
mainly, they are just jealous of UT.

Maybe..... I guess when I go after KN about our talent you must stop reading. Anytime I post positive things I will start labeling the thread "Tebow" or "JPW are Awesome." Let's be honest..... I don't think the SEC is very good this year. They are the best conference this year. BUT, the conference has been much better the last 3 or 4 years have been waaaaay better. That's why I do not gush over teams this year as much as years past.

I do complain about our OOC scheduling. That is my only bug a boo. We just don't schedule very well. Tennessee is the only team that has the nuts to go play tough games on other teams fields this year.

Remember, if we all are just gushing over our teams with juvenile (Bulldogs belong in, your a retard if you don't think so or Tebow is the greatest. To suggest DMac shows you hate my team) and not trying to figure out how to make our conference better (i.e. OOC scheduling, Head injuries, Out of Control recruitting and coaches making dumb comments)..... we all should just go back to our respective team's boards.

Sorry, if everyone missed my defense of Saban, defense of DMAC last night when you and the rest of the Gators called him a thug and unworthy. Hoping the worst for him because he wasn't as white..... er..... humble as Tebow.

I think this is a year when nobody is as good as they have been in the past. We all seem to have our problems. It is a year to learn and to grow. It will serve as a strong foundation for future improvement for all of us. I think many of us will be more on track next year.

I never back bamafan up, but I gotta agree with him here. None of us likes to think we're homers, but very few of us call out our own players. We'll instead complain about the Athens/Gainesville/Knoxville/etc police, but we don't hold our own players accountable. And just because you criticize a player's performance doesn't mean you don't like that player or are not a fan.

And whether or not you want to admit it, bamafan is right about the OOC scheduling. The more I read that thread, the more I realized that the SEC can't claim superiority unless we're willing to schedule more big boys. UGA travels west of the Mississippi next year for the first time in a long time. I realize that it's now taking place, but you're talking about 3-7 years away. That means we've been playing cupcakes for years.

I'll take my anti-Bama/SEC mask to say what I have always said. This year, Saban is paid 4 Million to recruit. It use to be the other way around. We'd pay a coach to win and use 4 million to the recruits. :)
