I think we all know that Tim Tebow, QB from Florida will more than likely take home the Heisman Trophy Saturday night. He has had by far the best season of any player in college football and all signs point to him winning the trophy. I remember him saying "awesome" a lot of times when he announced his intentions of attending Florida and I think we'll be hearing more of that Saturday. I hope he mentions some where in there a little thanks to the USC defense for really helping his stats and really helping him show case his talent on the Saturday when UF played USC. USC's defense basically handed Tebow the heisman.

Well, as he's matured a little bit, his interviews have gotten substantially better. I don't know how I would've reacted to the onslaught of attention and pressure as a high-school kid. But, I think he may thank F$U a little more for their efforts at making him the winner. After all, it was a member of their team who ran his mouth to the press, said they'd knock him out, and said he wouldn't win the Heisman on their backs. Then, true to form, Tebow went out there and did exactly that.

I don't know about that...SC's defense single-handedly earned McFadden an invite to NY...

Well, he said awesome exactly 0 times. I thought it was a damn fine acceptance speech for the O'Brien. Very humble kid.

I was very pleased with his speech. He handled things beautifully, just as I expected he would. He will not disappoint his fans!

When D-Mac wins, it will turn into a Zoolander situation. They will announce McFadden, and Tebow will immediately smile and walk up to the podium. He says the word 'awesome' no less than 20 times, while everyone just stands there puzzled.

LOL I doubt he would say it much, he seems like a pretty smart kid and it will be a formal event.

Is this an anti-Tebow/UF thread?

He is one in every ten years. His religious stance and great poise reminds me of Jay Barker at Bama. Tebow is a better QB 1,000,000 times more. But, I don't think Tebow will touch Barker's 93.5% win percentage.

He does prove how 'Awesome' he is with every interview. His June response this week was very good. The PR people have done well at UF.

Or, they're making a whole lot of money for not having to do anything with this one. I suspect he can handle himself just fine, and wouldn't say anything derogatory or stupid in the first place.

I'm not saying it on the derogatory side. They may be working on the Awesome tip.

It is obvious that Tebow is an asset to the school and the community. He does not need the safety net of the PR dept. It is a slam against him to intimate that he has this sterling reputation because of their skillful spinning. And they do not have to hype his talent. It speaks for itself.

Ok..... Tebow is the only player in mordern football not to have PR coaching. He just came out the womb sounding as honorable as Lincoln.

:laugh::laugh: Now that was the funniest thing I've heard you say so far! Besides there is no need to rhapsodize over the virtues of TT. Everyone knows. He is hard to find fault with as a player or a human being.
