It sounds official. Jim Grobe is the 30th head football coach for the Universtiy of Arkansas. Grobe, 55 and Wake Forest head coach has been called a quick fixer. Known for turning around his last two jobs in Wake Forest and University of Ohio, he hopes to get the Razorback program to find another gear. I don't know much else about him. Going to keep an open mind and looking forward to the staff he assembles in Fayetteville.
IM saying there much more to this and maybe it will be revealed in the following days. I do know that the board of trustees were split on Gus Malzahn. Word out of University of Oklahoma and the University of Texas is they have shown great interest in Malzahn and both would like he services as a coordinator. I believe Arkansas may also have some of the same interest in Malzahn. We will soon find out.

TD, if you would have started the thread with "My fellow swine" Grobe probably would have accepted the Arkansas job. Keep this in mind when the university offers Bob Stoops the job:laugh: J/K

Round Five is up!!
So let's do the tally of coaching hopefuls for Arky thus far:
Butch Davis (UNC)
Tommy Tuberville (Auburn)
Tommy Bowden (ClemSUX)
Jim Grobe (Wake Forest)
strong ACC leaning there in the HC search. Perhaps Groh from Virginia is next??

My apologies for the quick post on Jim Grobe. I guess I got caught up in the moment after I got the info from KATV. Nothing surprises me any more after the Dana Altman ordeal last year after the Heath firing.
Now back to regular scheduled programing.
