Which SEC team are you pulling against the most in the bowls

I suspect this vote will fall along rivalary lines. However I thought it would be interesting to see who most SEC fans are pulling against.

Do you want to see OSU win simply because you can't stand seeing The Hat winning a MNC? Do you want to see Saban have a losing season at Alabama? Do you want to hear the moaning about Tubby some more if he were to lose to Clemson? Are you a UT fan and don't want Fulmer to get an extension, hence you want Wisky to win? :laugh:

i'm rooting for the SEC to go 8-1. i want alabama to lose b/c i would like to see saban have a losing record in his first year. i don't like the gators, but i hate michigan and the big 10, so i have to root for florida, UT, and LSU bigtime.

definitely want to see UK, MSU, and Aubie win. I will root for UGA, but wouldn't mind seeing hawaii win the sugar. also, will definitely root for arky in the cotton.

I'm rooting for everyone. And in response to Hawai'i being the little guy.....I most want to see UGA destroy them and show them that playing Fresno State is not akin to playing an SEC team. You can pretty much use that logic for LSU and OSU as well.....but I think the Buckeyes are all too aware of the disparity between SEC and Big 10....:D

Good post, and I agree. Plus, just like we debated last bowl season, it's just stupid to pull against SEC teams in the bowl season. SEC bowl wins against other conferences is what keeps the nation's best recruits coming to our conference. All of us winning is what keeps the cupboards stocked. The best players want to play in the best conference, against the rest of the best players, and get the best chance at getting exposure. Rooting against other SEC teams in bowl season is the equivalent of pulling a Barney Fife.

After looking at the way some of the coaches voted, I'm pulling for the SEC more than ever.

Oh man, I hadn't noticed. Yeah, you're not far from about 6 or 7 teams in the ACC.:brick: Well, you shouldn't be taking much flack, anyway. Whenever they open their mouth, remind them about their best team (VT) getting blown out by our best team by 41 points. Oh, and throw in UF beating F$U by 33, and UGA beating GT by 14.:thumbs: The only claim they really have is the Carolina/cLIMPson game; and that one was a measly 2-point win.

BTW, who would have voted against LSU? That must have been KN.:happy:

I think the reason LSU jumped from #7 to #2 was because the whole nation respects what it takes to win our conference. What happens if we go 4-5 in the bowl season this year? It could hurt Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, LSU, Auburn, Alabama next year in the BCS hunt if one of us is lucky to be in there. 9-0. LET'S GO SEC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LSU jumped from #7 to #2 because the BCS absolutely sucks, the voters have no idea what they are doing. They don't know who #1 and #2 are, so they just reverted back to who they had ranked there at the beginning of the season.

I agree it sucks, but Oklahoma jumped Georgia too. Thank god Oklahoma is not playing in the national championship game. I think the reason they are not is the SEC is more respected.

I never pull against SEC teams...during bowl games or during OOC games. Doesn't make sense to me...why would you want fellow conference schools to lose to OOC schools? Unless you're 12 years old...:rolleyes:

Personally, I was embarrassed when the SEC lost the games to the BigX last season...let's win 'em all this year.

Since some of you guys can't understand why someone wouldn't pull for the SEC in all cases, you are missing the unique nature of Alabama and Auburn.

Most of you guys have your biggest rival out of state or if they are in state, they are in another conference. The only exception is with the Mississippi teams.

For me, I live in Alabama. So all us Bammers and Barners live amongst each other and are in the same conference. A loss by AU makes the following week after the game a little more bearable. I am sure the same is for AU fans with the Alabama loss.

But look at Tennessee you don't have a rival in state that matters. For UGA fans, you guys have a ton of rivals none of which are in state except an ACC fow. Florida you guys don't like ACC-FSU. LSU, has no instate rival. USC has Clemson. Here in Alabama we have UA-AU. Hence why I can't pull for them. We have to live with these guys or if you are an Aub, they have to live with us.

Since Ole Miss isn't in a bowl, I'll pull for everyone. Although seriously, if Ole Miss were in a bowl...no way in hell am I pulling for them. Sorry, that's just the way it is. The only time I ever root for Ole Miss is if it helps State. That's it. And then I don't cheer, I just hope they win. But since Ole Miss got left out, I'll pull for everyone.

If I had to pick one team to lose, it would be Alabama. Come on, they are our second biggest rival. Not big enough for me to root against them in the bowl, but if anyone had to lose and I got to chose, it would be Bama.

Personally, I'm hoping for a clean sweep. 9-0.

We in the SEC are more of a family than any other conference. We'll fight and bicker amongst ourselves but when the chips are down we should stand beside our friends and neighbors. I for one will pull for each and every SEC team (even Bama) :yay:
