Great idea; but, I suspect there will be countless guys who vote for DMac simply because they're Gator-haters. I don't know if I've ever even heard anyone say they hate, fear, or envy Arky.
Lol I've got no love for Arky.... but I did for McFadden just because I think he is the best player in college football.

THIS year? Honestly, I don't know how anyone, especially a UGA fan can say that. If you look at the stats, he's nowhere close to other RB's from the SEC who've won it. He's only averaging 138 yards a game this year... not even close to what Walker and Jackson were averaging in their Heisman years. In fact, it ranks him 9th in all-time best rushing seasons in the SEC. There are 4 other RB's on the list with better numbers than his this year, who didn't win it.

Tim Tebow! Simply amazing. Anyone with 20 + rushing TDs and 20 + passing TDs has to be considered a favorite. He could be the first QB in history to do the 30/20 thing with TDs. Wow. McFadden also deserves some love with single handedly carrying the Arkansas football program on his back. Chase Daniel will be the media darling especially if they beat OU this weekend. Makes for a nice feel good story.
Top 3

Looking at it from a SEC Homeristic view...I would put McFadden second. But truthfully, judging by what these guys have done this year:
Tim Tebow
Chase Daniel
Todd Reesing
Darren McFadden
Pat White
Ray Rice
Matt Ryan
Michael Crabtree
Matt Forte
Kevin Smith (this guy could give DMac a run for his money as far as whos the better RB this year)

I think South Carolina and LSU hate and fear Arkansas. I doubt they envy them though.

This is an easy one. Anyone who has seen Tebow this year could not help but believe he is Heisman material. In fact, more than that. He is the clear choice, soph or not.

BTW, all of this is incorrect. MCfadden has 1725 yds /12 games = 143.8 ypg.
Only two SEC rb's have ever run for more yards in a single season, Walker and Bo. Both won the Heisman. He also set the SEC All-purpose yardage single season record this year. Why count Tebow's running and his passing yards if you're not going to include all of McFadden's?

I think Tebow's got it in the bag.

They also did it in 11 games. Even if I gave him the 143.8, it would still be less than 5 other seasons in which the RB didn't win the Trophy.
YARDS PER GAME
SEASON:
1. 171.9— Herschel Walker, Georgia (1,891 in 11 games)............................................ ............1981 Didn't win Heisman.
2. 162.4— Bo Jackson, Auburn (1,786 in 11 games) .................................................. ..............1985
3. 159.3— Herschel Walker, Georgia (1,752 in 11 games)............................................ ............1982
4. 153.3— Charles Alexander, LSU (1,686 in 11 games) .................................................. .........1977 Didn't win Heisman.
5. 146.9— Herschel Walker, Georgia (1,616 in 11 games)............................................ ............1980 Didn't win Heisman
6. 145.5— Moe Williams, Kentucky (1,600 in 11 games)............................................ ...............1995 Didn't win Heisman.
7. 145.4— Emmitt Smith, Florida (1,599 in 11 games) .................................................. ............1989 Didn't win Heisman.
And, that's just in the SEC.

Tebow gets my vote. It's quite a tough call though. Were it not for what he's done this year I'd go with Dmac.

McFadden's all purpose yards surpass everyone on this list. Throw in his passing yards and this is clearly the best season ever by an SEC running back. Other than Tebow's TD's this is not a record setting year for him. (Not even school records.)
