Given the BCS title game is still up in the air... Why does it seem that those teams actually playing in conference championship games have a disadvantage?

because they can lose!

Because teams like Ohio State can sit on their butts and laugh while they get to watch the teams from real conferences fight yet another head-butting matchup against conference heavy weights.

IMO, at the very least, teams in conferences without championship games should have to play another game against an at large big time opponent. Like Boise State and Ohio State having to play a game against each other to make up for it.

You still amaze me 3D. Hey, I nor the rest of the Big 10 fans are not againist the idea of playing in an CCG. We just need to get chickenshit Notre Dame to join the conference first. BTW, why is it such a big deal that Georgia has played one more week than Ohio State? We saw last year that tOSU's 51 day layoff killed them in the NCCG vs. Florida. I would rather have a bye week instead of playing for 12 straight weeks.

Maybe you fans would like a conference championship but that doesn't make any difference... fact is you don't have one, and you have a distinct advantage over the other teams that do play that extra game. Thats the facts.

If you are ranked ahead of a team, like Missouri is now, it is a disadvantage, if you were like Florida last year, it can be an advantage. You have an opportunity to put a ranked opponent on your beat list and it is fresh in the voters mind.
