Tuberville not in mix at A&M?

According to this morning's Houston Chronicle, Texas A&M is looking hard at three candidates to replace Dennis Franchione as head coach.

And one of them is not Auburn's Tommy Tuberville.

The Chronicle's Terrance Harris wrote that Texas assistant head coach Mike Sherman is the leading candidate. Former Notre Dame coach Bob Davie and Boise State coach Chris Peterson are the other finalists, according to Harris.

Tuberville has nobody to blame but himself. He and Jimmy Sexton cooked up the whole thing to get him a raise. I doubt he gets a raise this year.

He did! He never would come out and deny it until it was obvious he wouldn't be getting a raise. Sexton is well know for these tactics.

Yep.... that settles it. The same newspaper that said Fran wasn't going is now saying that Tubberville is not.
