Well we've entered another final season with who's left standing, not who's the best team at this point. And it got me to thinking. Who are the best teams according to their loss record?
Who is the best one loss team in the nation?
best team with two losses?
best team with three losses?
best four loss team?
----------
1 loss - Missouri (Defense)
2 loss - Georgia
3 loss - Florida
4 loss - Arkansas/Auburn TIE

Get back to me after Bowl season. I don't have a lot of faith in ANY of the SEC teams winning with the exception of UF and UGA. And if UGA has to play USC in the Rose Bowl as some project, they'll probably lose. They better hope for Hawaii in the Sugar.

The winner of the SEC CG will play in the Sugar.

No we won't. I would LOVE to play USC in the Rose Bowl. UGA has all the right things going to beat them. They are paper tigers.

I'm up for a wager on that...
BTW - congrats on the loss by the 'Cocks! I'm thinking that pretty much assures your boys of a trip to Nashville!
See you in Athens next year bro

False statement. The winner can accept better offers. Look at Florida last year. You should know better that to post false statements like that. Some people from South Carolina and the Bayou can't read that good.

UH...if you're not playing in the BCS Title Game...there isn't a better offer. LSU will "likely" not make it into the BCS NC Game nor will UT...so the winner of the game will go to the Sugar...I'm pretty sure they "have to".....the SEC Champion is contractually obligated to play in the Sugar if not playing in the Championship Game.

Incorrect. The winner of the SECCG HAS to play in the Sugar Bowl, UNLESS they are selected to play in the National Title game.

I agree with the bottom three. I really have no idea who he best 1 loss team is.
I just wish there was some way we could get pay back on WVU this year... I think we'd demolish them this time around. Our quick D has proven they can get the job done against powerful offenses like Florida... and our offense is much improved from the 2006 sugar bowl.

That the same feeling I have about the Big 10Eleven. The brand of football that died with Woody and Bo. Boring and slow. We are about to see the decline of once was a good conference. Why would athletes want to go to a place like the Big 10Eleven?
^ Because they're born in Ohio.
I will stick my neck out and say UK is the best 5 loss team in the country.......of course thats not saying much.

UGA will beat USC like a red headed stepchild. They are more talented and deeper in every facet of the game. No team in the country can touch UGA this year. God I would love to see them obliterate that throughly average USC Defense.
And 2 losses in the SEC is like a 2 season spanning win streak in any other conference. :)
You know what's funny is the fact that can't really say who the best 1 loss team is but the best 2 loss team is Georgia and the best 3 loss team is Florida and no one is picking the 2 loss LSU or the 3 Loss Tenn as the best but they are in the SECCG...lol
