mark my words folks...
''oregon is going down, dixon will throw 2 or 3 picks to lead his team to a loss...this cuases tebow to jump up to 1st in the heisman! wishful thinking??..but really i do see a upset tonight!
I think it's more wishful thinking on your part. But i do hope for a upset. nothiing to do with Tebow. So if Ga wins we jump up in the polls

I'd love an upset, too; but, I just don't see 4-6 Arizona being the ones to accomplish it. UCLA and Oregon State are better bets for the upset bid. I wouldn't mind if Dixon had a poor outing, though.

maybe i wont lie it is alot of wishful thinking...but iv had good success with this..take note...usf,bc,oklahoma,texas,lsu,usc,ohio state...to many others to name have lost this year when i was wishful thinking so we might be ok!

With Dixion out of the game, and possible the year, you may want to put this game on UPSET ALERT now. Arizonia is driving for the-go-ahead score.

i never want to see a guy hurt, but its looking like dixon may be out for the year. Looks like its down to macfadden and tebow for heisman, and maybe an OU LSU rematch in the championship.

Well, I wanted Dixon to have a poor showing, but not at the expense of his health. He is likely out of the Heisman race, and the rest of their schedule looks dangerous all of a sudden. Leaf is definitely not a great replacement.

I trust nobody from that linage of the Leaf family. Ryan was all I had to see to know there were slim pickins from that family when it comes to football playing abilities.

I won't say it's over yet. The Ducks are a bit shell shocked. If they win I give them big props for coming from behind after losing heisman candidate on the road. The WRs are not helping Leaf.

totally agree, they played high school football in montana. I really doubt that the high school competition there is tough enough to determine how their abilities will play out. . . oh yeah and his brother

Ain't that the truth? The kid's already been picked at his own 30 for a TD, and looks absolutely pathetic. Oregon is nothing without Dixon. This one's gonna get ugly, as 'Zona runs back a punt for a TD.

Who can't throw. He's flinging balls all over the place. His receivers dropped a couple, but he's missed guys by a mile. His best completion was to Arizona. Now, he just fumbles one trying to make a play. He's awful; and now they're out of FG range. Follow that up with an 11 yard punt.:brick: Wow.

I'm thinking Leaf will come out playing better the 2nd half, after the shock wears off in the lockerroom, but 17 points may be too much for him to overcome. Besides, the Oregon defense may not be able to keep Arizona from scoring....

These are their stats:
Tebow: 3250 total yards, 42 TDs
Dixon: 2623 total yards, 28 TDs

Dixon has competed 167-246 (68%) throwing the ball for 2,074 yards and 20 touchdowns. Dixon had run the football for 549 yards on 103 carries for 8 touchdowns...accounted for 28 TDs.
Tebow has completed 173-255 (68%) passes for 2,532 yards and 23 touchdowns while running for 718 yards on 170 carries for 19 touchdowns...accounted for 42 TDs.

lol. Tebow had over 20 more TD's than Dixon did before he got hurt. You can't argue with the numbers. Weather you like Tebow/Florida or not has nothing to do with who the better QB is. I have nothing against Oregon and if Dixon's numbers were even remotely close to Tebow's, then I would have no problem with him winning the Heisman. But his numbers were no where near as good as Tebow's.
Its all moot now b/c unfortunatley, the kid is out for the rest of the year. I feel for the guy b/c this was his last year and his only good season he's had at Oregon. I just hope he can find some team that will give him a chance. Even an arena league team. Best of luck to Dixon after college:thumpsup:

It's also interesting to note, that Dixon is a senior starting his second full season. Tebow is a sophomore starting his first; and he's still better. Let's compare Dixon's first starting season to Tebow's. To say Dixon was awful last year is being polite.
PASSING
NAME CMP ATT YDS CMP% YDS/A TD INT RAT
Dennis Dixon 197 322 2143 61.2 6.66 12 14 120.7
Tim Tebow 173 255 2532 67.8 9.93 23 5 177.1
RUSHING

DD 94-442 4.7 34 2

And, Tebow still has 2 or 3 games to play.

These are excellent points to consider. I think we will see Tebow walking off with the trophy. He has got a clear advantage and time to improve on that! There is no doubt. He is the leader in the race and as a sophomore, that is quite an accomplishment.

The SEC has a lot of "underachievers" this year...several teams that could do a lot better than they've done...Bama, SC, Auburn and Arky to name a few.
She does have some "jet black" hair...but in pics I've seen of her when Tim was younger...it looked the same...maybe she's cryogenically frozen?

I don't agree...UF replaced 9 starters on defense and is the youngest team in Div.1...and will still likely win 10 games this season. How's that "underachieving"?
I also don't think our conference is "overhyped". LSU will likely play for a National Championship...10-11 teams could end up playing in bowls...there's just more and more parity each season in the SEC...there are no more gimme games.
