Ted, hopefully LSU will get paid back for what they did to The Big Orange in 2001. That is still the worst feeling ever leaving a game for Uncle Rocky anyway. Rohan Davey goes down and then Matt Mauck comes in and lights up TN. It still is a sore spot. Hopefully the favor can be returned in about 3 weeks.

HAH hey Tennessee Ted we gotta have hope at least UF isnt up there.

As for WRS we are loosing Sean Bailey who is our best playmaker at WR. We also loose Mikey Henderson. However we are brining in AJ Green a stud WR and Tavarres King. These two freshman could see significant playing time as freshman. My thoughts on the starters next season. MOMASS MIKEY MORRE/TONY WILSON and Kris Durham. Not as athetic as this season but all should be decent. And if the freshman can contribute we should be pretty sound in the passing attack.

I just am not sold on Kansas or Missouri for that matter. I think those teams need to loose and get outa the top five becuase its just depressing seeing those two schools invade college football 's royalty.

I picked Oklahoma based on reputation. I have not watched any of the big 3 in the Big 12 play, so I really have no idea how good any of them are.

LSU defeats Oregon in nat'l title game, Oklahoma beats WVU in the Fiesta, Georgia beats whoever they play in the Sugar Bowl and VA Tech beats tOSU (that's right) in the Orange Bowl.

That game did suck. Although in retrospect, it may have turned out better for UT that way. Would it have been better to slaughter Michigan 45-17 or to have gone on to get beaten by an incredible Miami team? I think we would have given Miami a better game than whoever played them (Nebraska I think,) but I think we still would have lost. Miami was loaded then.

Anything is possible this year. If we beat LSU we would jump a lot of teams. However, I am more worried about Vandy and particularly Kentucky right now.

I think Tennessee has about as good a chance of making the Top 5 before bowl season as I do of winning the Heisman...

Funny you mentioned that. I was just going to post on the Heisman thread that I am pulling for Shanksta13 if he finishes strong.

Seriously, I am under no delusions. If we beat Vandy and Kentucky I realize our chances of upsetting LSU are remote.

It's not even so much your chances of beating LSU that hurt you guys. You're just too low to realistically think that it's possible to jump into the Top 5 before bowl season. Even with a win in the SEC Championship Game, you would need a good number of teams ahead of you to lose to make it possible for you to jump up that high. After the bowl games is a completely different story, especially if you beat LSU and then go on to win the Sugar Bowl.

I agree. In a perfect world an SEC team that won the SEC championship game should not only be in the top five, but have a chance at the National championship. If we were to do the improbable and run the table neither will likely happen. Of course, I can't complain this year due to getting slaughtered twice. Even so, it would be great to have a more forgiving football post season like basketball where even if you lost a couple of times you would still have a chance to win it all.

I don't completely agree that the SEC Champion should have an automatic chance at the National Championship. Take this year for instance. Should Tennessee, Georgia or Florida win the SEC Championship, I don't think they would deserve to play for the National Championship, because, over the course of the entire season, there are teams out there that have performed better and produced the "W"s. I do agree that a one loss SEC Champion who suffers their only loss in the SEC should be given automatic consideration, at least, for the National Championship Game, even if there are two undefeated teams. That's actually pretty likely to happen this year, that a one loss SEC team could play for all the marbles again.

That's probably the worst thing that could happen to LSU. That would mean you get Georgia or Florida in the SEC Championship Game, both of which I think would have a great shot at knocking you guys off. I don't think Tennessee will pose much of a threat.

Woodson gets his yards, but we are more physical than Kentucky and will push them around.

Depends on how a few other games shake out. Both teams will have to play LSU next year, so it will be interesting to see how our matchup with the Dawgs sets up in terms of SEC and National Title hopes.
