The time is here!!!!!!! I know good and well there are a few of you Bayou Bengals, worried about this game. Now the majority of course are betting there lives and their family's lives that LSU is going to stomp the Rebels, yes it does make perfect since considering that Ole Miss SUCKS!!!! This for sure wold be bigger than Kentucky over LSU, or State over Auburn. This would be the BIGGEST UPSET OF THE YEAR, if it happens of course. Feedback please!!!

It is also the most improbable upset and IMO there is a larger chance that I will wake up tomorrow with Charlise Theron in my bed.

At first glance I thought you said "head" instead of "bed". Nevermind.

91 folks on here right now and no one has anything to say, where you at Tigers, I say 24-21 Rebels

i don't think ole miss will win, but i think they are capable of winning. they went down a fightin' against florida, and that's a harder offense to slow down than lsu.
i'm not saying it'll happen at all, but i'm saying nothing's impossible this season.

And I've got some smooth moves that I'm about to try out on Miss Theron. If you'll excuse me....

For your mental health, yeah, sure we're worried about this game. It's your 3-7 record that has us up late at night sweating out this game. Here for you man.

Seriously. It's the SEC and anything could happen, but seriously I don't look for Ole Miss to give the Tigers of LSU a game like last year. Might be close the first half (we seem to give every team some first half slack), but the second half will belong to the Tigers. I imagine Coach O is preparing a "moral victory" gameplan at this time. The good news is that Miles doesn't like to run the score up with his first team. Is this the feedback you were looking for?

I don't know what it is that keeps me believing, but yes I believe the rebs win this one. Please don't ask me to produce any facts or "reasons". I don't have any. All I can say is that this is Ole Miss / LSU. That doesn't mean anything to y'all who aren't fans of the two schools. But tigers and rebs know what I'm talking about. Rebs win 28- 24. Followed up by a win over State I might add.

Wow, I think Mississippi State beating Bammy has all us Mississippi folk talking nonsense. Here are a few reasons we WON'T take LSU to OT like last year:

1) Lack of a true Quarterback (I know we had this problem last year, but now it's even worse)-it's very obvious that we no longer have a QB that can make sound decisions and good passes. We now have 2 QB's, one can throw good short passes, one can throw good long passes, but both throw alot of interceptions. It's a shame you can't play 2 QB's at once...

2) Neither the offensive or the defensive lines will be able to overcome LSU's O and D lines. We are beat up and outmatched by a superior team. Plus, we don't have a certain guy name Patrick Willis to disrupt things like last year either. It sure makes things difficult when you loose an All-American...

3) And last, but most important, I think we have a huge lack of leadership this year compared to last year. The reason we stayed in the game last year was b/c of an excellent defensive performance which was led by none other that P Willy. He was a true leader on the field that could rally the defense when it was down and be the player that the rest of the D could look to to put the fire back under their behinds. He didn't have to do this by talking, he did it by his actions. After we lost P Willy, no one stepped in to fill his shoes as a role player and leader and as young as our team is, they really need that. I don't know why, but no one picked up the torch when Patrick said goodbye.

I don't like being pessimistic, but to believe we can win is just nonsense. If I had seen anything that showed that we can be a contender this season, I would not be this way. But this team has fallen apart as the season has progressed and there is one thing that Ole Miss has yet to do when in a big game: win.

Ole Miss over LSU would definitely be the biggest upset of the year in the SEC. I don't think it will happen, though. I believe LSU knows what is at stake and they will treat this one as if it were the SEC Title game.

But I love the optimism from the Ole Miss fans. That's very admirable. Y'all have had a tough season but you are still showing your undying support. That's what being a fan is about. High fives for all of you, and good luck on Saturday.

Nothing brings out the best in a team like playing the #1 team in the country!

I liked our chances better with LSU being ranked #2...

but who knows we were supposed to get killed last year by a IMO more talented LSU team and very well could've won that game actually should've we beat ourselves in the end or rather brent schaeffer beat us.

It's true that Ole Miss is a chameleon type team, they normally play on the level of the opposing team, whether it be the No. 1 team in the nation or Div. II school. Still, the best I'm hoping for this game is to not let it get TOO ugly, keep it within 2 TD would be nice.

I take offense to this thread, as Kentucky has been the only team capable of beating LSU this season. To imply that Ole Miss is capable would be to compare my Wildcats to the Rebels, which at least this season, is surely a slap in the face and an insult. :D

It most certainly would be the biggest upset of the year if Ole Miss can pull off the upset. I have no doubts as to whether or not LSU will get OM's best shot, but I have to wonder if they will be able to sustain it.

I talked to a few of my Ole Miss friends today and they are all dead set on this being the upset of the year and they are completely sold on it. They said the players and the fans are more pumped about this game than they have been for any game this year and they plan to give LSU hell on Saturday.

This is the Same Ole Miss team that almost lost to Northwestern State (38-31) enough said Ole Miss doesn't have a chance.
