Well Dawg fans......here's the thread. Let's start looking towards our matchup down there between the hedges, eh?
Indeed. Should be a good game... I'm hoping for a crowd at Sanford as riled up as we had this past weekend.

I'm hoping that after two big games against Florida and Auburn, you guys are emotionally drained, like we were going into our game against Mississippi State two weeks ago :D And that you're looking ahead to Georgia Tech, and that you've conveniently forgot we beat ya'll last year. Hey....it could happen.
I'm hoping we show up ready to play and execute far better than we did yesterday or we're gonna get our butts whipped between the hedges.

This is a trap game if i've ever seen one...12:30 kickoff after a very emotional month. The stadium will feel like a cemetery in comparison to how jacked up it was Saturday night. KY is still a solid football team w/ great skill players...look what Troy did to us with speedy skill players.
I hope we've had this one circled due to last year's embarassment. Execution should not be an issue for us...emotion could be.

Haha, possible... but very unlikely. I think the team remembers last year.

I disagree. I think the players have been on an emotional high since Florida. They have a new swagger. Expect it to continue against Kentucky, who all the players on the team remember from last year.

12:30 kickoff though...i've never seen a fanbase or team get too jacked up for a game that early. I'm a little concerned...not jumping off the bridge, just worried that it could be a problem

It could be a trap game for UGA, yes. UK is going to be ready to play. I believe however, if UGA shows up as hyped as they did against UF and AU, it's gonna be a long freaking day. But if the UK shows up that was jacked up against Louisville, against LSU.....then we could have a great game on our hands. We need Woodson and Co. to really show up and put up some points on the board. Woodyard....man...I'm gonna miss him next year, we need him to keep playing that smash mouth defense.
Look....of the 2 games we have left.....I'd give everything I own to beat Tennessee. Damn those Vols!!!! I would love to make it 2 in a row over Georgia, but as a fan....my real concern is w/the Vols, honestly. I was born in 1983....last time we beat them was 1984. I've never seen it done, and I want it too this year.
Anyway...enough sour grapes :D I really hope this game is as close and competitive as our matchup was last year. You Dawgs have to admit, it was a good game, even if you didn't like the end result.
I hope you beat Tennessee too! :D

lol believe you me if someone has to win the SEC East title and it can't be Kentucky, I'd prefer either Georgia or Vandy. Vandy because, well c'mon, throw 'em a bone, and because I don't really hate UGA. Not much love for UT or UF here as far as in-conference rivals, and well...USC fans have really been teeing me off lately. Yes, they beat us, but we finished ahead of them last year, and this year as well. I'm sure you've heard the same stuff from them. It gets old. Good luck w/5th place guys.
Thank god.... a kindred spirit!

I really have alot of support for our cats. However, the way our defense has been playing, Moreno will make us look stupid. If we can play anywere near what we did against LSU we could beat Goergia. But they way we have been playing is down right terrible. Even against Vandy we didnt look like the same offensive team. Its going to be a big game just hope we play to our potential.

i think that from what richt did against florida, the dawgs should have no problem the rest of the season with emotion. that act of getting the team pumped up will continue throughout the season. i honestly think georgia will lose this game simply because if moreno doesn't play great, georgia will have a hard time. no matter where the game is, georgia loses.
its not a spite thing, i just think that's what will happen. kentucky will try its hardest to play spoiler in both weeks, and i think they will acheive it against georgia. after next week, i'll know more about what to expect for ut/uk

No disrespect intended...what I was actually trying to say is that if Troy could burn us with skill players like that, imagine what Kentucky could do with better skill players.
Here it is. If the team that should up at Florida and Auburn shows up Saturday. Kentucky doesn't stand a chance. If we just half ass it then we lose. This game should stand as a test to see if we are consistent. We Win big again then we prove that we are for real.

Predicting the SEC this year has been like going into a cathouse and not specifying what you want. Sometimes you leave with a grin that lasts for 12 days. And sometimes, even penicillin won't clean off the horror of that one night.
I just hope the Dawgs don't sleepwalk. They actually have something to play for now - a possible BCS invite. Even though we don't control anything that happens, it would be nice to end up 10-2.

DDD(Devi Dawg) What they fail to recognize is that they have one player in Andre Woodson. If he doesnt have a great day they loose as well. Thomas Brown looked pretty solid in the game last weekend so if Knowshon doesnt do as well as he has lately(which i dont think will be a problem against UK/no disrespect). Stafford has been playing very well lately so he can put up some points i think we do need that running game though. I hope we can pull it out our last home game of the year and revenge against UK shoud be enough to get us ready. DAWGS Shoudnt loose to UK twice in a row i hope.
With all due respect to Troy...they're no Kentucky either. :DToo bad we didn't get to play each other this season....you would possibly have to eat those words. Saying Troy is better than UK is foolish...

Aren't there some UK blood lines in the Troy staff. I'm thinking Tony Franklin is the O-coordinator. Did I dream that somewhere?
Anyway, when I gave UK's best case scenario at the beginning of the year I had UK going 9-3, with the losses being USC, LSU, and UGA, mainly because USC and UGA are always very tough to play in their houses. I thought LSU would mangle us like last year. I also figured UGAs young talent to be maturing by this time, and that has proven out. I'm not totally hopeless that we'll lose, but I don't like our chances. It will take a monumental effort by the entire team in all phases. If we win, it'll be because we got at least 1 defensive score AND 1 special teams score (kick or punt return for TD).

What i am implying is that WOODSON is so good it gives those backs room to run so in fact if woodson is off his game your running backs wont be able to move the ball that well. I know little is coming back but isnt it his first game back? And i will still think that unless woodson plays lights out UGA wont loose this game. Your defense hasnt looked good as of late and weve been putting up 40+ with ease it seems. If we score 35 in this game i say its a UGA win less than that UK could easily pull out the W.

I think UGA will win this week (sorry to say). If this game had been played earlier in the year, then I think UK goes into athens and gets a W, but this is a different georgia team now. They are playing with confidence and are doing well in all phases of the game (O, D, Special teams). In contrast, UK has played very poorly over their last two games. We really need to pick it up or the last two games will get ugly.
I predict 42 to 27 UGA (my heart says 38-34 UK).

I just don't think there's any way UGA loses this one. They have been playing with swagger and confidence the past 4 weeks, and they haven't showed signs of slowing. They know exactly whats at stake, they know if they take care of business they could end up in Atlanta, and even if not, the Sugar Bowl still looks like a very likely bid for them if they win out. Don't expect them to overlook this game or be any less pumped for this one.

I think this is gonna be one of the most exciting games this season. The Georgia players know this game is there biggest game of this season now. If they beat us they are most likely going to the sec championship game. Kentucky has been slowly going down hill and i form what i hear there back to full speed practice (The amount of Injuries were supposedly the reason for soft practices the last few weeks:wacko:.) I just think there gonna be back to there early season swagger. Mark my words if the real UK shows up and UGA plays like they have been this one could be just like the LSU game. (Very Exciting)

One person I'm a little surprised no-one's mentioned is UK's WR Lyons Jr. When I watched earlier this season, that kid was lights out. I do like the way we're playing right now. And no, we don't have to worry about motivation for this game. Sorry Cats, we haven't forgotten last year. Still, UGA better come with their A-game or it could be a long afternoon. Go DAWGS!

This game against Georgia will be the the first time this season I have not pulled for Kentucky. If you watched the last couple of years you have seen better talent coming into the Kentucky program and a winning attitude that is fueled by more wins. This is a good team and one Georgia will have to work to defeat.
I believe as long as Georgia remains focused and not over confident, it's their game to lose. This will be a really good test for both teams. Can't wait!!!

There would be a four way tie for first between Georgia, Tennessee, Florida and Kentucky if Kentucky were to win out. Who would go then is anyones guess. Hurts my head just thinking about it. How does the rule go in a situitation like this? Head to head or SEC East wins first? If it's head to head then Georgia would win over Florida but Tennessee gets the nod over Georgia but Florida gets the nod over Tennessee. Here's the tiebreakers from secsports.com:
In the event of a tie for the division championship, the following procedures will be used to break all ties to determine the SEC Football Championship Game representative. All Conference versus Conference Games (both division and non-division) will be counted in the Conference Standings.
A. TWO-TEAM TIE
Head-to-head competition between the two tied teams.
Records of the tied teams within the division.
Head-to-head competition vs. the team within the division with the best overall record (divisional and non-divisional) Conference record and proceeding through the division. Multiple ties within the division will be broken from first to last.
Overall record vs. all common non-divisional opponents.
Combined record vs. all common non-divisional teams.
Record vs. common non-divisional team with the best overall Conference (divisional and non-divisional) record and proceeding through other common non-divisional teams based on their order of finish within their division.
The tied team with the highest ranking in the Bowl Championship Series Standings following the last weekend of regular-season games shall be the divisional representative in the SEC Championship Game.
B. THREE (OR MORE) TEAM TIE
(Once the tie has been reduced to two teams, go to the two-team tie-breaker format.)
Combined head-to-head record among the tied teams.
Record of the tied teams within the division.
Head-to-head competition vs. the team within the division with the best overall (divisional and non-divisional) Conference record and proceeding through the division. Multiple ties within the division will be broken from first to last.
Overall record vs. non-division teams.
Combined record vs. all common non-divisional teams.
Record vs. common non-divisional team with the best overall Conference (divisional and non-divisional) record and proceeding through other common non-divisional teams based on their order of finish within their division.
The tied team with the highest ranking in the Bowl Championship Series Standings following the last weekend of regular-season games shall be the divisional representative in the SEC Championship Game, unless the second of the tied teams is ranked within five-or-fewer places of the highest ranked tied team. In this case, the head-to-head results of the top two ranked tied teams shall determine the representative in the SEC Championship Game.
1. KY, FL, UGA, and UT would be tied @ 5-3
2. Using the first THREE (OR MORE) TEAMS tiebreaker- Combined head to head tiebreakers would have UK (loss to UF) and UF (loss to UGA) tied at 2-1, and UGA (losses to UT and UK) and UT (losses to UF and UK) tied at 1-2. This would eliminate UGA and UT.
3. Once the tie has been reduced to two teams, the tiebreakers revert to the procedure for a TWO-TEAM TIE, so- Head to head UF vs. UK makes UF the divisional champion.
I'm not sure if the other teams could style themselves as divisional co-champs or not. That would be my question.

No, here's how it really goes:
Brooks and Richt have to thumb-rassle. If there is a tie, they go on who has the better haircut (bye bye Richt) Winner takes on Meyer in a staring contest, and that could take three days (Brooks can go a long time, but Urban's stare can produce fire - note to Brooks, get a flame retardant suit). The winner of that will face Fulmer in a "who's wife is hotter contest". Two words- Shelly Meyer, HELL-o. The loser of that (presumably Fulmer) will get to beat the hell out of Spurrier for twenty minutes, while the winner will represent the east against LSU. If Miles has already bolted for Ann Arbor, Bobby Johnson gets to coach the Bayou Bengals.
So you really gotta go with the Gators. Uh-gain.

I don't know what happened to Woodson. He's had lots of time to throw the ball on several occasions, and guys running free; but he's overthrown all of them, or thrown that moon-ball fade pass out of bounds every time. Making bad throws when there's been pressure is one thing; but he looked awfully rusty today on plays where there was no rush.

I still say Woodson isn't as great as people made him out. IMHO he was never Heisman worthy and USC proved that.

This really is the year to win the East as no one in the East is very solid.

Making bad throws when there's been pressure is one thing; but he looked awfully rusty today on plays where there was no rush. How can you do anything when the other team knows your plays, I mean come on the bulldogs all of a sudden got good please they are either stealing the other teams playbooks or they are paying somebody to sit in the stands and video tape the other teams side lines so they will know what the signals are you know sort of like new england did in the pro's.....so I think the bulldogs should be investigated by the SEC and the NCAA for cheating and also I think Moreno is taking steriods and should be tested and if the sec or NCAA find anything wrong they should be kicked out of the SEC

I still say Woodson isn't as great as people made him out. IMHO he was never Heisman worthy and USC proved that.
The Vols are about to giftwrap the East for a very AVERAGE UGA team.
This really is the year to win the East as no one in the East is very solid.
I understand that your bitter because your team is not playing well right now, but there's no reason to diss the whole SEC East. If the Gamecocks had taken care of business when they had the chance, they wouldn't be out of it. So congrats on beating "a very average" Georgia (like I've said umpteen times) and Kentucky (a team the average Georgia team beat).
Not to worry anyway, the Vols won.

>>>>>> opps I mean the bulldawgs have been cheating all year long but nobody knew that....the head coach sent the whole team to talk lip reading so they could learn to read lips and they would be able to know what the other teams plays were on every play and I know this because a freind goes to school there and he told me how the head coach pulled out this season by cheating why not new england did it why not UGA
Read the terms of service, watch your language.

Congrat to the Bulldawgs of Georgia. Great win today against a reeling Kentucky team. You guys seem to be hitting your stride at the right time. A Tennessee loss and we'll see you guys in the SEC Championship game the first Saturday in December! Good luck Bulldawgs!

Bitter Gator fans....(tear) I think i'm gonna cry.... It makes me so so happy.
I was at the Kentucky game today. After the first fumble, I was worried we were going to fumble it every play from then on.
We cant keep giving up these turnovers. We did it against Troy and now Kentucky. If The wildcats beat Tennessee, We are gonna get creamed by LSU if we turnover the ball four time..
But, Alls well that ends well
GO DAWGS!!!!!

I've pulled for Kentucky all year until today and I sure as hell will next week against the Vols. Good game Kentucky. You sure had our number 90% of the first half and kept it exciting the whole game. The Dawg nation will sure be Wildcat fans for the following week.
Tough loss today Vandy. I thought you had that game today....
Vandy sure has ALMOST played the spoiler this year with a exception or two. Looking good even in the losses Vandy. Playing everyone hard to say the least.
