I did not know which thread to put this under but here it goes. I saw yesterday on Sportscenter that a football player (I cannot remember the team) got hurt real bad and an ambulance actually came onto the field and took him to the hospital . I mean this kid got hit in the head and he was motionless and never moved! Looked real bad. Does anyone know the status of this player? Thank you:sad:

Jake Locker, QB from Washington. He was released from the hospital and re-joined the team later in the game on the sideline. They have said it is a neck sprain.

Yeah it looked real bad, but it sounds like he's going to be ok, and the injury is temporary.

It is always nice when something like that happens. I was at a bar in Chicago frequented by Buffalo fans when Kevin Everett went down on a kick off. That was scary as he went motionless after a vicious hit. He will never play football again, but at least he is alive. Events like this bring things in to perspective. It sucks when our teams lose, but it sucks worse when someone is seriously hurt.

I hate it when stuff like that happens . There was a play in our game yesterday that could have been real bad. One Tenn. player and one Ark. player missed each others heads by and inch ! it could have been real bad but thank goodness nothing happened.

I'm glad that he's okay too. Someone should probably check in on the Arkansas offensive linemen too. I have a feeling that they are in a lot of pain.
