glad you enjoyed yourself at the Brice....I think more fans would've stayed around had we not lost the last three games and had we shown just a little defense in the previous seven quarters...there is NO hope of coming back when the defense can't stop the offense...the only time Florida was stopped was because they made mistakes, not because of our defense...
I don't know what has happened to the defense, but Nix better fix it quick...many fans are already calling for his head.

I've wanted to go see a game at WBS for a long time. Scheduling conflicts have prevented me from being able to...but some friends and I are thinking about chartering a plane in '09...I really want to see that stadium. Heard it's second to none in the SEC.

By then, the stadium expansion should be complete (it will be started at the conclusion of the 08 season)...should be a 90K seater by then!!

I went with Gatorbait this weekend. I will tell you, it is the nicest stadium I have ever seen. I sat next to an older Gator Alumni and we just talked about how beautiful the stadium was for about five minutes. As he said to, Gamecock fans were extremely nice people. I can honestly say this is the first away game I've been to where we haven't had something screamed at us. Keep your heads up though Gamecocks, Spurrier will get the program going in the right direction. Good luck next weekend vs Clemson.

Sounds good....I've been through Columbia but never done any extensive partying down there. I'd love to make the trip. I'm sure I could walk right in for the Kentucky-Carolina basketball game....maybe I should drive down there for it.

The statement that Carolina football fans are the best in the world is the biggest load of crock I've ever heard. There were people leaving the game in the first quarter last night. At that point, it had little to do with the game. People were leaving because they didn't anticipate it being that cold. That really bothered me. That's football weather. It's freaking November. Grow up and support your team, especially if you or someone else bought you that ticket.
However, I can't blame anyone who left in the second half. If you just flat out can't stop someone, then what's the point in staying miserable. Just don't leave while the team still has a shot.

Sorry. Just vented and didn't really mean to. Still fuming about many parts of that game last night.
What I meant to say is that I'm glad you folks enjoyed your time up here this weekend. We had a great weekend up here with you Gators. Very nice crowd of quality individuals y'all brought up here this weekend.

There's still so much that could be done to improve on the stadium, including taking out the parking lots under it and putting something nicer down there, and getting rid of those stupid allstate nets. But i think its a nice stadium, even though it's the only one i've ever been to besides the bucs stadium in tampa bay, when i went for the 2001 outback bowl.

In 2004, we played SC in the Swamp...I got some tickets last minute from a friend...he had got them off ebay...they were right in the middle of the SC section...my wife and I had a ball with the Cock fans...they were telling me that Spurs was gonna be their next HC and I was like "NO WAY"!!! We had a ball and I can say, I've never met any classier opposing fans in the Swamp.

Sounds like a trip I'm going to have to make, too. It's not even that bad of a drive from Atlanta; and it sounds like one where the fans won't make you regret making the road trip and spending the money.

I'll man up and say I left in the 3rd quarter. I had to go home after the game and I didn't think we had much of a shot left because Tebow was just running over us. I thought if we were able to stop them out of the gates in the second half, I would have stayed but I knew we were going to get our butts kicked and I thought I might as well beat the traffic out and head home.

We sat in one of the end zones. I am not sure which one it was but it was in the one that was higher up. I know our section was 905. I definitely recommend though for any SEC fans to make a trip to Williams Brice at some point in time.

Oh ok . . there sure was a lot of blue and orange there last night. I was surprised at all of the Florida fans that made the trip. Your section was loud as hell too. I sit right behind the visitor's section, so i heard your band play all night . . and it was louder than our band.

I stayed until the end and by then I could walk out without breaking stride. Most of the crowd was home by then. I sat beside a Florida fan and two sat behind me. The guy that sat beside me was cramped in a seat that was half taken up by the stadium seats (I hate them by the way) and I told him he could sit in my other seat because no one was coming. He was veryi grateful that he could actually breath then. We have problems and if NIx doesn't get them strailghted out, I think he is history.

the only thing that made me sad about the hole trip is when they played some crazy music as loud as they could when we had our band play the boy's after the 3rd q.

I was just going to ask if we traveled well to the game. On T.V., it looked like we had some good numbers... as much as you can tell from the occasional shot of Gator fans cheering. And, I could also hear "Jaws" playing from time to time, and some pretty loud cheers when we did something good, so I thought we must have showed up.

It was a good turnout, GU. We left the game with about 2 minutes left because we made the trip back to Gainesville after the game. Once we were outside the stadium we heard a loud roar and got scared, but we saw it was a td pass from Tebow and that is when I realized how many Gators were there. We traveled well for this game.

Yea, when i was standing in line for the concessions on the outside of the stadium, i couldn't tell the difference between the carolina crowd and the florida crowd (mainly because i was right beside the florida section) It was a good showing by the gators, and I was impressed by the size and loudness of the band. Was that the whole band or part of it?

As much as I was disappointed that we lost the game, it was a good one. Enjoyed every minute of it. Glad to have some cuth fans joins us and not the loud and obnoxious fans of my most hated team... Lets hope Tenn wins out the east and put GA back in its place! hehe
Go Vols, we'll be there next year!
