Today SEC fans enjoyed true football weather for the first time this season. And a big chill came from Neyland Stadium on the Arkansas sidelines where they found themselves, cucumber cold. A new found crazed defense stopped everything thrown their way from the hogs today as they stayed perfect at home by stopping McFadden and the hogs with a big win. Kentucky traveled to Nashville after their week off and won another one on the road. A blackout in Athens today help motivate a hungry Bulldawg bunch to beat a ranked Auburn club. The Dawgs entered the field wearing black jerseys for the first time ever. And in the twilight game of the evening, the Gamecocks were host to the Florida Gators, and Tebow wasn't to kind to his host. A frustrated Steve Spurrier had 4 to 5 mini strokes during the first half alone. Meyer's bunch add an L to Spur's Bio.
While out west...
Mississippi State hosted the Crimson Tide in Starkville and rolled the tide to become bowl worthy. LSU welcome LA Tech for a night game in the bayou. and had an easy win at home.

TD's grade for week 6
A. When all the favorites win, and you don't have to watch Ole Miss play, it's got to be a success.

Week 11 key match-ups
LSU @ Ole Miss
Kentucky @ Georgia
Vanderbilt @ Tennessee
Mississippi @ Arkansas

Who's stock is rising
Tennessee
Georgia
Mississippi State

Who's stock is dropping
We all know by now who sucks

Teams with a bye: South Carolina & Auburn

Bowl outlook
6 wins this year may not be good enough to get you a invite to a bowl this year. Arkansas, Alabama, South Carolina, Miss. St. are bubble teams. But Bama's cash flow will assure them of a bowl birth. Look for South Carolina to receive a bid as well since their fans travel well.

Bowl committee's doesn't see it that way. At this point of the season it's all about the dollar. They know, by past history, that you don't leave out teams like Nebraska, Texas, Oklahoma, Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State, LSU, Tennessee, Alabama, Oregon, Notre Dame, West Virgina, South Carloina, Southern Cal and Purdue. These fans bring dollars.
They are others that traval well, and Arkansas was on that list until recently, but with the attention the negitive fans are recieving with the Nutt hating, the fans from the glorey days are staying at home in shame due to these implants that knows nothing about the history of how Razorback fans built the SWC conference Basketball tournement in dallas in the 70's and 80's, and added another power to the SEC tourney which with Kentucky presents help make the SEC post season better venue in March.
Bottem line, Bowls are a money maker, thus no real hurry to figure a real play-off system which would work to decide a true national champion in football. If that occured, someone pockets would miss out on the free flowing money which the January Bowls bring.

That bein said I am not sure we will go to a bowl at 6-6 because there will be so many 7-5 teams and I think they have to take them before us, unless they are enough of the crap bowls to go around. We need to beat Clemson to have a legitimate shot at a bowl.

So true, all the companies that host the bowls really dont care about great matchups and who is the real best team or conference, they want all the money they can get, kind of sad really. It will probably never change either, it will always be experts nitpicking at whose the best and who shouldve wouldve or couldve.
