I was on Tidefans.com when Bama was looking for a coach after Price. My #1 choice was Sly. I loved his past his present (at the time) and what I thought he could of done at Bama. I am proud to see him not only survive and keep his job but, to also prove that he could win at maybe the toughest school to recruit. Sly Croom is class and I think he deserves SEC COY.

I agree with all of that! I thought he was the best candidate for the Bama job. He would have done great things for Bama on and off the field. He gets my vote for COY!!

I agree that Sly deserves COY. My only hope is that next time we get a new coach in Oxford we get some one with his attitude and character. It's hard for me to applaud state, but they really got a good deal with Croom.

I think were all proud of what Croom has been able to do.
He's helping prove the strength of the SEC.
But, I can say I'm proud because we beat em and Bama didn't :)

If you're proud of his record, I can only say I'm glad you don't do the hiring at Alabama.

Where have you guys been after he lost again WV? I remember alot of guys blamed everything on him and some people even denied his abilities as a head coach. "He is not head coach material" was the phrase i had to read here.

You guys pound on someone because of a loss and push the same guy up in the air when he wins.

I have to chime in with similar sentiments. Halfway through the season, I'd have said Brooks at UK; but what Croom has accomplished this year is undeniable. He's been the very definition of accomplishing more with less.

Another post proving your an effing moron. You do realize he is doing this at the toughest coaching job in the SEC.

After WV I didn't say anything. WVU is a good team they played on the road. I have always admired Croom on and off the field.

I think at Alabama, we are proud of all the numerous coaches we have sent into the exciting world of college football coaching. Croom is a good example. We are proud of what he is accomplishing at Miss. St. We wish him congratulations and continued success.
