Does Tubberville really think that he is so great that Auburn University should come groveling to him with bags of cash begging him to stay? I have officially backed off my stand of "I don't care if he stays or goes". I hope he leaves and takes his conservative philosophy, stubbornness (why not have a backup QB prepared to go in when your starter is playing like shit? When a new QB was finally put in earlier in the year, he knew all of 5-6 plays :brick:) The list goes on and on. Tubs, thanks for the win streak over Bama and the undefeated season, good luck in College Station.

I hope your right. Losing Tubberville will damage your program. He should have you guys backing a brinks truck up to his house. He has been scorned by the admin and now obvious some fans. He has done more for Auburn in my lifetime. Sad to see some of the inmates are running the asylum.

I agree with you, BFNKY. I can't believe it, but I do. Tubberville is a better coach than anyone that they could find to replace him with. I don't think he's seriously considering leaving though. JMO.

Well you could say it, but you'd be wrong:ph34r:

Fran sealed his fate by taking a butt whipping from Mizzou. This will get interesting. A loss in the Iron Bowl could help make up his mind.

Personally, I would be happy with any of these coaches:

Bobby Petrino- Atlanta Falcons

Rich Rodriguez- W. VA

Paul Johnson- Navy

Petrino? After one year? No.

Rich Rod? Forget it; he is staying put.

Johnson? Maybe. He's a helluva coach.

Oh, and don't bother with Jim Leavitt, either. The last four weeks has seen his stock drop like a pair of over-stretched BVDs, but he won't leave USF.

what about Mizz's coach (name escapes me)?

How bout Marty Schottenheimer or Bill Cowher, I don't think that they are done with coaching, especially if a top tier job becomes available.

Gary Pinkel? Gary Pinkel - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gary_Pinkel)

We'll see how he does against Fatboy and the Jayhawks in KC in a couple of weeks.

I find it very hard to believe that Petrino, Johnson, or Rodriguez wouldn't listen if Auburn gave any of them a call. It would be a step up for Rodriguez and Johnson.

Petrino doesn’t seem to have the support of his team or the fans in Atlanta. If he stays in Atlanta you can expect the team to be gutted.

I have read in several publications that the the entire attitude in the Falcons lockeroom is terrible and no one would want to coach the team much less win with them.

Petrino has just about lost the entire Falcons lockeroom.

You are right. The only place in the entire world that sells her kind of hairspray is in Morgantown WV.

I beg to differ. I saw a dead ringer for Rita in Starkghanistan yesterday in full MSU regalia.

i still don't think he's leaving the falcons after one year. i think johnson would come running to auburn but i think auburn deserves bigger name IMO. i don't know if RR would leave WV with that easy Big East schedule. i think Tedford wold be a good fit for auburn.
