View Full Version : Our Bball team must not be very good this year.
They barely beat Tusculum last night. What's the deal with that?

Probably just went into the game too cocky and too unprepared. Just had to work out the first game jitters. Ya'll will be fine, but its going to be a VERY competitive SEC east this year

Stallings will have them ready to play be sure of that. Come inter conference time, they'll be tough. I'll be at some of the games and cheering you on unless you're playing my Volunteers.
AJ Ogilvy had a good game. 17 points for the Aussie.
Yeah, UT's like my 2nd team. I always root for the Vols, unless their playing Vandy of course.

Well...Gardner Webb did beat UK. so we are not the only one, and it was only an exhibition. We should be fine.

That is what I was going to say. Michigan State lost, Ohio State lost, and Kentucky lost. These are all quality to seems so if something can be learned from their games, it is enjoy the wins because that isn't always guaranteed.
Yeah, and Vandy started 1-3 last year. I'll get to see how good they are tonight against austin peay.

I was at the game last night and it looks like we still need to work off some early season rust. Especially taking better care of the basketball. There were way too many bad passes and simple ball handling mistakes.

Yeah we won. 81-67

Gordon 19
Ogilvy 18, 9 rebounds
We also need to work on layups.

Look....UK lost to a scrub, Michigan State lost to a scrub, Southern Cal lost to a scrub, and Ohio State lost to a scrub. But everyone wants to concentrate on us. Give it a rest folks. We're not the only one dropping games we shouldn't.
Sorry...I just get tired of the constant hating UK receives during basketball season.

when were we hating? I was just making a point that teams lose to scrubs. it doesn't make them bad. in our case, we won our game, but barely.
also, does anyone know why JeJuan Brown left the team? it just listed personal reasons when I read about it
I didn't hear about that.
But Vandy's up 18-0 on Toledo.

yeah...it happened a month or so ago, just never got around to making a thread about it...and I am really starting to like the Oglivy kid...he's a seven footer right?
6' 10" or 6'11". But yeah, he had about 20 points last night.
