Trojan dynasty dead, buried

Where do we begin? Where else — the end. It is now officially here for Southern California. We can debate it no longer: For the first time since the Trojans rolled over Iowa in the 2003 Orange Bowl and began this wild, wondrous ride, we can see the end. And it ain't pretty. Interceptions, unthinkable penalties, poor execution, poor coaching. How's that for a laundry list of what went wrong in USC's 24-17 loss to Oregon?

Ladies and gentlemen, I come not to praise Oregon — there will be plenty of time for that during the Ducks' **(in their dreams) run to the BCS national title game — but to bury the Trojans. Les Miles was roundly criticized for questioning the media annointment of SC being the best football team ever. It seems he was right, and the media was wrong. Of course it will happen again when a darling team from the West coast makes another run. Looks like Oregon is being set up for that annointed position.

I think his statement was that USC had it easy since they played in the PAC 10. The same conf. with 2 top 5 teams.

I'm loving it. Patrick Turner is reaping what he sowed when he was recruited by UT and USC.

Turner still made the right decision.

Given how Southern Cal signs only 5 star athletes, I can understand the logic. With that being said, the local talent won't be too anxious to hit the west coast next time USC comes knocking at their door.

USC is burying talent in their depth chart... and they should be ready to transfer back home.
