View Full Version : Congrats Dogs!
Congrats on a well coached and well played game. Y'all flatout whipped us, y'all were a very sound football team today, play like that the rest of the season and y'all are bowl bound.

Thanks dude! I appreciate the good sportsmanship. Very classy.
This was no doubt our best game of the year, and probably our best game under Croom's tenure. Now we just need at least one more win. Thankfully, all three left are winnable. All very tough, but at least winnable.
I'm really liking Carroll now.

The bulldogs are turning it around for sure. I just hope we don't have too much let down after lsu
I watched the game and State certainly deserved to win, it was no fluke. Auburn and now Kentucky, now that surprised me. I congratulate you guys on the way your team played and good luck on the bowl.
By the way you don't really have to play that well when Ole Miss comes to town.

Haha, I wish it was like that. But I've seen too many Egg Bowls where the lesser team ended up winning. And that goes both ways. I remember years where MSU had a much better team and still ended up losing the Egg Bowl, and I remember years when Ole Miss had a better team but we still ended up winning (like that 2-10 year we had under Sherrill, one of those 2 wins was against UM).
So even though the records wouldn't indicate it, I'm just as scared of Ole Miss as I am Bama and Arkansas. Just the nature of the rivalry I guess. Thankfully for us, it's in Starkville this year.

Abosolutely. kentucky did not come to play, and the Bulldogs looked hungry out there. They played some real smash mouth football and deserved to win. I like MSU in the West, so I hate to see my Cats lose, but it is good to see the guys from Starkville win, even though it was at our expense.
Friday night I was out carousin and partyin and ran into some MSU students who had made the 8 hr trip from Starkville to Lexington. I took it upon myself to buy them a round of Woodford Reserve (real kentucky drink) and show 'em a good time. They joined me and my posse of Big Blue backers for an evening of bar hopping and by god, we even got these guys some poontang. It was a great evening fo' sho.
