I havnet seen many threads about this after seeing this past weekends games. I find it very interesting. There are so many combinations and scenarios it is kind of crazy. It's most likely going to be LSU out of the west. But the East is such a toss up. If USC loses and Florida and UK win out Florida Goes. If USC Wins out and Florida and UK lose another its them. If Florida and USC fall than UK might go. Its really crazy right now. What do you guys think. I personally think its gonna be Florida. Although i believe UK will win out i dont think Florida will be beat again.
If Georgia beats Florida this weekend, then you will see LSU and Georgia in Atlanta.

I as a UK fan hope that Florida will get knocked off. I forgot about USC loosing this weekend. So if florida gets beat by georgia i think we will be there.
Only if you get by us..after last year we wil be looking for revenge ask Vandy

If we beat Florida then you better be thinking about beating us before you start talking about Atlanta.

The Dogs don't get past Auburn, and only make it to Atlanta with a ticket in their hand....

"If" we are forunate to make it to the SEC Championship game, I would love to see Kentucky there as well. That would be one game that would really fire up the ole LSU nation and give us the "opportunity" to even the score. Realistically, probably will be Florida though.

Yes, that vaunted Auburn offense that put a whole 9 points on the board against Arkansas, and lost games to MSU and South Florida.

I agree... even though Kentucky beat us once, FL scares me more. I don't really want to have to play them again...

I say Florida and LSU; however, I wouldn't put it past bama to beat uncle les next week. question for the west contingent: if LSU (losses to UK and bama), Bama (losses to UGA and AU), and Auburn (losses to LSU and MSU) all finish with two losses in conference, who wins the tiebreaker? I believe that it is based on divisional record. that would eliminate Auburn because of two divisional losses. Not sure though, so would appreciate someone filling me in.

You keep forgetting we're talking about Georgia, and the Almighty John Elway reincarnate himself. Auburn may just win that game, 9-0.......

I think the winner of this weeks USC vs Tenn game goes to Atlanta. Both teams got embrassed last week and I think one of them turns it around for the rest of their games. UGA isnt going to Atlanta. You might get by Fla but you'll drop one if not two more games vs AU and KY. I think Fla and KY will lose another game. Its just a gut feeling but I really think the winner of the USC vs Tenn game will "right their ship" and winout, thus taking the east. but I'm going to say that whoever is in Atlanta from the East will lose to LSU anyways.

The winner of USC-Tenn? Wow. Both you guys got embarrassed last week and now one of you is going to win the East.

Man, I would love that.
However, to be realistic, I think it will be LSU/Florida.

Think about it, both teams have shown they can play "lights out" (and Tenn's lights out is better than USC's) and play like crap. In his game everyone finds out which team is for real and which is just lucky. If USC gets their stuff together and beats Tenn at their house, then its down hill from there. We can beat Ark and we have Fla at home in a revenge game. this is the toughest game USC has left, if they can win this one, I think they can win out. If Tenn plays like they did againest UGA, then they'll kill us and win out. Embarrassment separates the winners from the pretenders, this game will do that.

And UGA got embarrassed by UT. What's your point?

This thread is pretty much pointless. The SEC is crazy and college football is crazy this year. Anything can happen on any given thrusday or saturday. We'd almost be dumb to pick teams for the SECCG. The west isn't even settled yet.

Basically, the LSU-Bama game is for the west title. If Bama wins, they would have to win one of the two against MSU and Auburn and I dont see them losing both. If LSU wins, well its all but over. They would have to lose to Ole Miss and Ark. in order for them to lose it.

Sorry to disagree with you, but Tennessee has played exactly ONE game that could be called "lights out."
I would be far more open to the possibility of South Carolina pulling it off over UT. Tennessee has been embarrassed in every big game they've played this year except against Georgia. South Carolina hasn't blown out anybody but at least they have kept in the game, and Vandy didn't beat them by 3 TD's.

This really is the million dollar question isn't it? You could just about throw two darts at an SEC calender and find your answer. There's no doubt the parity in the conference this year is unparallel. I'll say Florida goes from the East after they beat Georgia for the 27,000th time in the last 27,003 games. And I'll pick LSU to go from the West after they edge out Alabama two weeks from now. Tigers and Gators.

Actually we lead the series 46-37 because Florida was OUR ***** in the 70's and 80's. But thanks for playing.
NOTE: Florida's time is up, it's Georgia's turn to play daddy again.

But if I used that logic then I'd pick Bama to go to the SECCG every year as we have a winning record against EVERYBODY in the conference. Ask any Auburn or LSU fan what they think about the rivalry with Bama and they'll tell you they own us, and rightfully so. Do I think Georgia can beat Florida? Sure, but ask me again do I think they will, Gators again this year.

I'm just saying dude, there are phases. For 2 decades, Georgia whooped up on Florida. For almost the next 2, Florida whooped Georgia. Every action has an equal and opposite reaction and this series is going to be competitive again. We're due for another period of back-and-forth victories. And that's not just being irrelevant, there is no reason they shouldn't be. We have a great coach again, our recruiting has never been better, and we've got a team full of promise.
70-80's, Vince Dooley just beat up on the Gators.
90's- Spurrier whooped the Dogs,
2007- both programs have great coaches and great talent.
I'm just saying look for this series to be more evenly divided over the next 5-10 years.

I'm sorry, but Newton's 3rd law does not have anything to do with what football team will win. Newton's first law is very relevent though. Once Tebow is in motion he will remain in motion until he reaches the endzone.
I can't wait to see Florida win this weekend so you can stop acting like Georgia has been anywhere near the same level the past few years. Florida will only be better the next two years as Tebow, Harvin and our defense grow (and the addition of Moody). Maybe in 3 or 4 years Georgia can reach Florida's level when Florida starts to go down a little bit again.

Whatever... it's only a matter of time before Tebow gets his bell rung and realizes that he isn't superman.... he's just a rainbow-sh***ing missionary.

Florida and LSU. I still think they will be the ones.
I think LSU and FLA too. Prior to this weekend, I thought we'd see more dirty tactics in a LSU/USC rematch.

Oh please, be the biggest homer in the world. We all know kentucky is not going to be there. You thinkk UK is the greatest thing because you beat LSU. I dont know which team will make it, but I am for sure that there is one team i really don't see in that game, kentucky.
Incase you didn't know, USC beat UK - just refer back to you sig. Oh and let me guess your come back : "Woodson had a bad day, you guys were lucky, plus that game was in columbia, if it was in kentucky we would have killed you. USC's offense is pathetic and that defense got lucky." - Thats what you're going to say.

While everything is still undecided, I would have to go with LSU and Fla. As much as I would hate to have a rematch, that's the only two I see having the least amount of hurdles left. But, you never know this year.

As much as I hate to say it, it's Bama (ugh) and Georgia. LSU and Florida will choke. Most teams have caught up with LSU and FL; LSU hasn't improved much since the beginning of the season while many other teams have.

Thats pretty much it. USC is not that good, there overated. We will never play that bad again. If we would have played our A game we would have slapped USC silly with our O. I am sorry but we could easily have beat you guys.

Oh I'm sorry had Saunders not fumbled that ball we would have killed UK and it wouldn't even be funny. Matter of fact we still spanked UK upside their head and showed the nation that Woodson is crap when he is under pressure. Had our offense played our A game, that game would have been a BLOW OUT and you know it. I love how you can't give any credit to our defense who made Woodson look like a 5 year old playing QB out there. I am sorry but you guys are pathetic and didn't beat us and we killed you. I am also sorry that you guys wont be winning the east.
