I think y'all are 2-4 if my memory serves me.
While I was impressed that Vandy is much better than normal, I doubt that Vandy will win 4 of their final 6 games against tough SEC competition to become bowl eligible.
Then again, anything is possible this year......

They are 4-3 with a game against Miami (Ohio). They should win that. If they can pull out a game against Florida, Kentucky, Tennessee or Wake Forest they are going bowling (probably)

We are 4-3 trick! We are playing a very winnable game against Miami(OH) on saturday, so we should be 5-3 within a week.

The SEC has 8 bowl tie-in. What is the rule about taking a 6-6 team for a bowl without an SEC tie-in if there are 7-5 teams out there?

In a strange sort of way, I was happy for Vandy on Saturday. I was in NO way pulling agianst my Gamecocks. Don't get me wrong. I wanted Vandy to lose badly.
It's just that their coach used to coach Furman in my hometown, and he's a classy guy. Also, you have to be happy to see Vandy having some success.
Once I got over the fact that USC lost (that is really causing my Gamecocks some problems), I shifted focus to being at least happy for Bobby Johnson and his crew of underdogs at Vandy.
I'd love to see Vandy in a bowl game. That would likely put ever member of the SEC East in a bowl game. Wouldn't that be an accomplishment?!

I believe a 7-5 team must be taken if available before 6-6 teams can be chosen.

well, all we Vandy fans can do is hope our team does their job. They have to win at least 2 more games before they can even think about it. So they must do their job and the rest will fall into place.

They can beat Wake, but they could've beat several teams they've lost to thus far. I know it sounds homerish, but I don't see Vanderbilt or Kentucky for that matter beating us.
Vandy should play Florida and Kentucky pretty close (usually do) but IMO lose both of those games. The only possibility of an 8th win (if they don't look past Miami(OH) is the Wake Game.
My money is on Vandy to screw it up again
Y'all are goin bowlin this year!
There is no way we can't get to a bowl now. Coming off one of the biggest victories in school history, and playing Miami (lost to Temple) this week, we should have at least 7 wins before the bowl game.

I can see Vandy winning against Miami, Tennessee, and Wake. They will make their games with UF and UK interesting as well....

Don't count your chickens before your eggs hatch. Remember, this is Vanderbilt. We will find a way to screw it up if there is ever such a way. I am just as optimistic as you are, but I am keeping my mouth shut. We always plays UK and UF tough, and all of our remaining games are winnable games.

I would love to see Vandy in a bowl game. Yall can beat Wake, and if you can win one out of UF/UK/UT than yall are bowling. Man, if only you could've held on against UGA then it's be so much more easier.

I think, believe and hope Vandy beats Miami of Ohio. But I don't take anything for granted. Vandy has a good shot at a Bowl game if they can beat the Vols also.
Vanderbilt is the University of Tennessee!!!
I don't know Vandyfan, but I'm sure as heck pulling for you guys to beat UTk.

I would love to see you guys win out, except on November 3rd. In all seriousness, I think you guys can/should beat Miami Ohio and Wake Forest. As far as Kentucky and Tennessee are concerned, those will be tougher, but if you bring your "A" game, you can win them. I am not going to comment on the UF game because I don't wish to jinx us, however, I will say Vandy always scares me for some reason.

Yall are 4-3 now.. and you should have no trouble with Miami(OH).. so that puts you at 5-3... with Florida, Kentucky, Tennessee and Wake still left on your schedule.. Yall have a shot (IMO) in 3 of those 4 games..
Here is the problem.. if yall do go 6-6.. MOST LIKELY.. there are gonna be at least 10 SEC teams that are going to be bowl eligible.. We are 6-2... but I know, we need to win 1 more game to guarantee us a BOWL BID..
Hey, I look at it this way... if yall are 6-6.. and we fall on our face, and end up 6-6.. I hope they take yall over us..
I hope you get a bowl bid.. best of luck
