This weekend I realized how great SEC football really is compared to other conferences. We all know that it is dominant on the field, but the atmosphere is even better in the SEC. This weekend me and a couple friends went to Tallahassee. We figured we would go there and tailgate with our friends at FSU, then go back and watch the Florida game at our buddies house. For those of you who aren't aware, the Miami vs Florida State rivalry is supposed to be one of the best in college football. I understand these school aren't as prestigious as they used to be, but an in state rivalry mixed with a conference rivalry should equal one hell of an atmosphere. This assessment couldn't have been more wrong. It sucked. The tailgating was lousy, people weren't screaming at each other (I must admit, it is kind of fun getting heckled at away games because it is just good, clean fun), and no one seemed to really care what the end result of the game was. All in all, football isn't the same unless it is the SEC. The only thing that made it a fun weekend was my friend and I ended up staying the night with random girls we met the night before.
