Congrats, Vandy. You guys deserve all the credit for a quality win. You totally exposed a horrible offensive line that is truly offensive. Good luck the rest of the season.
Vandy played a great game and deserved the win, and, these SC people posting here are classy people.
It's easy to win and have class, but it can be hell to lose and still have it.
I would hate to show up at practice monday. Steve will be cooking roosters.

Vandy is not Vandy of old. We played like crap, but Vandy played error free for the most part. They had few penalty's and showed me they are much better than their record. We're very lucky the score wasn't much worse. I doubt we'll be their last victory this year. Just ask Georgia. Vandy has a QB that can run that offense. Our defense gave us a chance, but Vandy shut down our offense and deserve all the credit. The SEC East, right now, is unlike anything that I can ever remember.

Steve probably needs to look in a mirror on this one, if he's looking for someone to blame. He refused to let a single QB get on a roll. The way GC fans were describing it, he was substituting right and left, right in the middle of drives; regardless of whether or not the QB was doing well.

I heard Steve explain that once. He said he didn't think of players as first and second team like most coaches. He said he thinks more like a basketball coach and substitutes like they do. He sends in a player for a bit and then takes him back out as the situation or needs of the moment change. I had always wondered about what he was doing and why. Apparently he doesn't see it as taking out the first team quarterback for the second team guy, but just as a substitution for a particular situation or reason.
He's a fine coach, but he does it his own way.

Next time, I hope he keeps it to himself when he's about to play a QB. If Mitchell had played "lights out" then I'd be praising Spurrier. I realize that. But telling Mitchell early that he was going to play was totally different than how he brought him back in last year. Maybe if Mitchell came in cold, without fore-knowledge, he may have had the adrenalin to do better. This way...not so much. Whatever, Vandy played a great game and beat us, no matter what.

You have to wonder if knowing that he'd be splitting duty w/ Mitchell made Smelley force things. I know it's worked in the past for OBC, but maybe it's time to just stick with a kid.
At the same time, it won't matter if Joe Montana is at QB if our line doesn't play better.
I'm glad we lost that game last week. I think that made the players pretty angry and made them more focused to stop any comebacks.

Vandy definitley deserves credit. They beat UGA last year and played us tough this year. Now they have upset SC. This just goes to show that they can not be overlooked.

I'm glad I didn't watch the game...Listened to it on the radio though. I'm still shaking my head about it but obviously the players didn't want the win that bad! Congrats, Vandy!
