Ever since I saw that movie (Fever Pitch) about the Red Sox fan who married Dru Barrymore (in the film), I've secretly wanted to be a Red Sox fan. After last night's great pitching by Josh Beckett and the win at Cleveland, I am now an official Red Sox fan. I just wish I could be at Fenway to see them win again in their quest for the American League pennant! (Last night, I managed to click back and forth between the USF/Rutgers game and the Boston/Cleveland game to pretty much see both games in their entirety!)

Glad to have you abord Geaux, I got on board in about '01. It's a great team to follow and they always seem to have an awesome team character.

No way man! How the heck can you want anything good for the Red sox? I hope they lose to Indians. That makes our loss look a little better.

GO BoSox
To hell with the Yankees.
Why would you want the armpit of America to beat the Sox?

I dont know about that. The Red Sox are fun to watch especially with Manny and Big Papi, but the Indians are good to watch also. Grady Sizemore is great to watch, as is Sabathia and Carmona are fun to watch. I hope the Sox get raped tmrw personally.

I always hated baseball. But when I went to Boston College, it was THE thing to do is to go to Red Sox games. So I went and fell in love with it. Fenway is a dump and is located in a dump. But it's something special just to be in that sacred place with some of the best fans in baseball. The bars outside the stadium are a must.
anyway, winter came and boston lost it's allure and moved back south as soon as i could. after i went back to college football heaven, i went back to not caring about baseball. it was a short-lived fancy. oh well.....did i mention boston is reeeediiickyoulousleeee cold?

Although I'm a diehard Braves fan, I have always liked the Red Sox (they are the main rival of the hated Yankees, after all) plus I have been following the Indians for over 10 years because they hold spring training near my home, so I'm slightly torn. But I will definitely root for either of them vs the Rockies in the WS......

I am tired of the Red Sox and Manny being Manny and big Papi. I think they are less evil than the Yankees, but I am now almost as tired of them. Go Rockies!!!!!!!

"Tennessee, Tennessee, there ain't no place I'd rather be,
Baby won't you carry me back to Tennessee."
I think this is what a wounded Volunteer team was singing to itself in the 4th quarter in Tuscaloosa.

Been a Red Sox fan since I was 5 when my Grandpa gave me his autographed Ted Williams baseball. I hope we stomp this overrated Rockies team.

World Series (Which team has the better shot?)
Colorado Rockies
Have the hottest streak going right now winning 21 of their last 22 games. Did their streak go cold waiting on the long ALCS?
Boston Red Sox
Won their last three games in ALCS to come back from a 1-3 defiect againist Cleveland. Is the curse truely broken?

I know Blake, I was just saying that it would be broke for sure if they win their second within 3 years.
