to be taken out of the LSU game. Some one even said he would leave on a stretcher. No way he holds up against that D.
Seriously some of you flat out predicted he would be injured before games end.
What say you all now? Tebow looks fine to me.
Half way though the SEC season and hes looking great

Woops I forgot. I don't have time now but Ill dig up some of the threads. There were people predicting he would get injured, not just saying that it could happen. I was looking forward to posting this thread after the game but since we played LSU so close I forgot to post this till now.

Don't jinx him, I've heard BYE has some pretty mean hitters and Tebow will most likely get hurt against them this week.
I'm one of the folks who said if I were a Florida fan, I would be very nervous about the frequency Meyer has him running. It's dangerous anytime you run head to head like that, even for a fullback. I'm certainly not hoping for Tebow to get hurt, but I just think the playcalling is putting him at unnecessary risk.

Yeah it wasn't you who said it. Ill be the first to tell you that Tebow could get hurt vs anyone. But the fact that he hasn't been yet certainly deserves admiration at least from UF fans.

You're just lucky the whiny members of Gamecock Nation exposed LSU for the roughians they are. They knew that Lou Holtz would be watching their every move and that he would expose all instances of dirty play with his Lou Dance on ESPN.

Bingo! I think Meyer put in a great game plan Saturday night against my Tigers of LSU to make sure the risk factor wasn't as great as it was against the Barn and Ole Miss. Wise on his part. K. Moore only had 3 carries against the Barn, but got 12 carries against LSU. Tebow still got his usual yardage, but didn't have to get roughed up as much. The guy is an incredible athlete for sure. His bruised emotions will heal up over time though. A few episodes of "Dr. Phil" in the afternoon and he'll be just fine for the Gator's next game on 20th against the Wildcats of Kentucky. lol

Yes, but we will refuse to think in terms of what COULD happen. We will take these games, one at a time, and live in this injury-free Nirvana, today. What will happen, will happen. Our anticipations do not change anything, but we will consider, all the same. I am very glad he was not hurt during the LSU game, but the worry was in the back of my mind, all the time.

AU's D was tougher on T-bow than LSU. I don't think anyone is going to take that tank out of a game.

Don't get me wrong, Auburn's D played "lights-out" vs the Gators...but our OC had a great game plan vs LSU...looks like he thought we could just line up vs Auburn and beat them...which, if you saw them vs USF and MSU...you'd think the same thing. Our game plan vs Auburn was identical to the one vs Ole Miss...and we all know how that one turned out. Kudos to Auburn, though...they looked terrible in those games...but came back with a vengence vs the Gators...:(

Tebow had more carries than Moore.
I know he did, but Tebow had less carries against LSU (16) vs (19) AU (27) UM. Moore only had like 3 carries against AU and something like 6 carries against UM. I'm just saying that Moore took a lot more of the blunt in the LSU game then in previous games, giving Tebow a help. Hey, I can't take anything away from the incredible weapon of Tebow and I hope he makes it through the year without getting hurt. He'll certainly be making the big bucks in the next couple of years. But I'm just glad the Gators are behind us in the regular season. Who knows after that!

That's my whole point, GN...it's not like he's built like Cox or Ainge...he's a freakin' animal. He's built like a LB...not your "typical" QB. So all the injury stuff is sour grapes in my opinion. These guys need to let it go.

I would be a little worried about my team's quarterback taking so many hits. Even if he doesn't miss any action, the abuse COULD effect his passing over the course of a long season.
That being said, I have rarely seen him get hit squarely. Though he runs like a fullback, he is just shifty enough to avoid major collisions. Maybe the guy is capable of maintaining his current level of success over the whole year. Right now, he certainly looks like he can.

Hey Ralliartist remember this quote???
Tebow's shotgun draw woes won't be answered in this game either. Florida struggles to move the ball at all. They finish the game with negative rushing yards and 130 pass yards.
LSU ROLLS
45-0
Yeah so much for that prediction. Tebow ran for and threw for way more yards than you said. NTM We played LSU much better than Carolina did. We actually had lead for 3 quarters and only lost by 4! Hey its better than getting beat 28-16.
Thats all. Flame on Ralliartist:thumpsup:

I never have understood what all the talk about Tebow getting hurt was about. He's 6'3" and 235 lbs., which is a helluva lot bigger than most running backs who carry the ball 20-30 times a game all year without getting hurt. Just because the name of his position is QB doesn't make him any more fragile. Does Tebow strike anybody as a guy who shies away from contact? Please, he initiates it; and he rarely gets hit straight on or blindsided... guys are lucky to bring him down at all, much less level him. He'd be just like Jacob Hester if he couldn't throw the ball. Is Hester going to get hurt soon if he doesn't stop running the ball? This is stupid.

I've been gone all week, but I'll stand up and say that I posted concern over him being able to withstand a very physical LSU team for the duration. But I also posted after the game that I didn't think LSU was playing as hard as they did previously. It very well could be that Florida made it look that way, but I'm not convinced of that, given back to back losses. I think LSU may have been down a bit.

Huh, I saw a UF team with an entirely different offensive game plan than in the AU and UM games. Lots of variety and misdirection plays; and some good pass plays. There was absolutely none of that in the two previous games. Mullen thought it'd be enough to play a conservative game against those two; and was wrong about AU. It was similar to the one drawn up for UT. Only LSU's stellar defense kept the score from being similar.

if lsu didnt get up for that game, who will they get up for??? were they up for usce??? miss state??? tulane??? va tech???
im not so sure i agree with you. i just think uf is the best team they have played so far and they didnt look near as fast or near as physically dominant as they had before.

Anybody who didn't see it as Clash Of The Titans is blind... not much point in debating it. LSU would have been much more up for a game against UF than USC. I half expected them to actually overlook USC, and may have... thus the low score.

Consider the source. These UCSjr fans are new to this idea of competition. We lost to a better team and we claim no moral victories (unlike Clemsons' whipping boy).
When Spurs. leaves 2 years from now, they'll slide back into "others receiving votes".

I can't see the image but I can kind of imagine what type of image it is.
Tebow doesn't juice. He's just a pure athlete that has a ton of heart. No, he's not invincible but him getting injured would be like a running back or a receiver getting injured, it will take an awkward fall to get him injured. He's not just going to get injured by getting hit. He's strong and I think he's proved that.

We can look forward to enjoying watching Tebow play for a long while, yet. He is a very hard-nosed player, brimming with a love for the game, and it is a real show when we watch him on the field displaying his unique brand of talent and his capacity for making things fun for the fans.
Tebow runs like Larry Csonka did for the Dolphins. Straight up, and right over you.
