Yeah, I loved the ending. That kid has a severe case of fumbleitis. I heard from my aubie office mate that they are going to use him at WR some now that Lester is back.

I really think Auburn has another great back in the making. The kid looks like he is going to be superb in the next few years and will most likely be playing at the next level. BTW, all of the great RB's have fumblitis as freshmen. I sure know Eddie George did.

I think Fannin actually played quaterback in high school and is still somewhat learning the tailback position. By the time he is a junior or senior he will be scary. Add Ben Tate and what will be a veteran offensive line by then and watch out for Auburn.

Yea Super Mario was a QB in high school. After I heard that, I had to give him a break on all of those fumbles since I'm sure the original plan was to red shirt him this year and give him time to learn the position. He will definately be a good one. With Enrique Davis and Reggie Hunt coming next year we may have a repeat of the 2003 log jam at RB (Williams,Brown Jacobs). Although that's not a bad situation to be in. :D

I think that will help Auburn out a good deal. The days where a team has one stud tailback that carries the running game alone are just about gone. The defenses in the SEC are just too tough. You need at least three or four solid tailbacks to really excel in the running game. That will give you fresh legs late in the game as well as taking advantages of different running styles such as power runner, quick slashing runner etc.. Look at the teams that have the best running games and you will see they have several weapons that they can and do use.

Fannin redshirted last year. This is his 2nd year (redshirt freshman). He is getting better every game and I can't wait to see how he and the rest of this young team develope.

I've heard that because he was a QB in high school, he's still leaning the proper way to carry the ball. In high school he had a tendency to run with the ball in one hand.

I understand Bammers think they have a slew of running backs but has one of them consistently produced? Potentials their but until they prove it, I wouldn't talk down on other backs.

You aubies are funny. You automatically assume I'm bashing if I post in an AU thread. Fannin's fumble problems are a concern that any au fan would admit. Sure he'll probablly get over it in time. We got a couple good ones but yeah....I'd trade for AU's backs any day. duh!

Yea you're right. I'm getting the 'redshirts' confused with the 'true'. Well now I gotta be hard on him again.

RowwwTide, please dont flame the AU forum. If you feel the need to flame, take it to the Trash Talk Forum.

Thanks.
