vs #11 Missouri. Also is homecoming.

Mizzou scares me. We are suspect in the passing game.

????

You guys have one of the best secondaries in the nation. I worry about the letdown after a huge game in the RRS, but other than that, I think Mizzu is overrated.

OU > 12

I dunno...Mizzou handed Nebraska a new arse last week though the Cornhuskers have been a little overrated themselves but still, 41-6?! Held 'braska to just over 300 yards total offense & 6-16 on 3rd downs. Could be a fluke but I'm thinking the home field will be more than enough....

secondaries, yes, but they are having to do double duty because our LBs aren't doing to well. Our LBs are very good against the rush. You won't find many units that have better smashmouth type LBs than OU has. But unfortunately, they are the reason we've had 300+yd passing games on us for 3 straight weeks. :( They bite on play action like crazy.

Mizzou needs to go down fast! Im tired of SI putting this USF vs Mizzou for the BCS crap on their front page.
OU by 21+

Chase Daniel is good enough to keep that from happening all by himself. I think OU being 5th in the nation versus the run has something to do with teams trying to throw the ball on 'em all the time. Mizzou had been getting fat on some pretty cupcakey teams up till last week & like I said, Nebraska's been a little over-hyped all year if you ask me...the 41-6 was still somewhat of a jaw-dropper though.

Still...I think OU wins by a comfy margin but not quite 3 TDs. I'd say OU by 10-14 or so & Missouri will have to play catchup late to get that close. The Tigers get exposed this week, IMO.

I said last week that OU would have trouble with Texas because of our LBs. That hasn't changed. I think OU wins, but the score I'm predicting is 35-31 or in that ballpark.

I think Pinkel is a horrible gameday coach, and even his good teams have been overrated, floundering down the stretch when it really counts. Nebraska is a BAD team (<<cough>>Ball State<<cough>>), so I sort of discount that woodshedding....

Stoops will have his boys ready, and Venables will have a few things for that spread. If Mizzu wins this game, then I'll be a believer, but until Pinkel can actually get the job done, I'm waiting for the collapse. I just can't buy into the idea that THIS time Missouri will finally live up to the hype.

I could totally be wrong though. Look what Colorado did. Didn't see that one coming...

Since Stoops has been here, we've held spread offenses 19pts below their season avg :)

I'm just not sold on OU yet.

If we get by Missouri, I don't see another major challenge until we go to Texas Tech.

I think this game belongs to the Sooners, but Mizzou will not go down without a fight. They will probably be ready and pumped. Inspired football can be difficult to control.

I agree. They are full of confidence. Is it false confidence? We'll have to find out. But they truly believe they can beat OU...which is something they've not had.
