The banner above was flown around the stadium courtesy of some fans over at Hogville.net (I think), and they are planning on flying more.

Damn.

If this is true then what coach in their right mind would want to walk into that kind of environment??

Most Arky fans (at least in my circle) believe he's out of there at the end of the season no matter what happens the rest of the season. Even those who were behind him at the beginning of the season seem ready for a change after this season. Another couple of losses and things could get pretty nasty in the state of Arky.

LOL that pic is funny. Would have loved to see that in the sky. I think Arkansas fans are amongst the most vicious in the nation.

You hit it right on the head. As I have siad before. It's not a Nutt issue. It's a hate issue. No matter who comes in to replace him if in face he is gone after the season, they too will see the same attacks from these NON Arkansans. This hatered began in northwest Arkansas where development in growth to the area the last ten years have brought outsiders into the state for jobs. The sad thing is it's gave a black eye to long time fans that at one time were respected around the nation.
Keff Long, new AD has a impossible task aheard of him to fix this problem that I see no way of resolving any time soon.

You are correct, sir! Not only that, but Nutt supporters claim they will be flying another banner to support him! It's a three-ring circus and airshow.

Nutt deserves every bit of the criticism he is getting.

Here's the coaching staff assembled by Nutt :stooges:

But for the Arkansas fans behind this, how stupid can they be??

Recruits are going to games at other schools and seeing great entrances, fly overs by jets, etc.....then they go for a visit to Ark. and see a little rinky dink plane flying around with a banner proclaiming how bad their team and coach suck? As if the off field drama wasnt already enough down there:wacko:

The mouth breathers over at hogville can and will continue to be that stupid. Personally, if for no other reason, it would be wise to get rid of Nutt for no other reason than to re-unite the fanbase. He loses to Auburn, and he may not see the end of the season which is sad, I would feel sorry of Darren McFadden and the rest of the players if that happened.

Darren McFadden spoke out against people wearing black shirts at the North Texas game.... how do you think he and the other players feel about THIS? In his hometown no less.

Great point... what difference will a good coach make, if all the good recruits avoid Arkansas like the plague, because of all these fiascos?

What these Black Shirt wearing, Banner flying jerk-offs don't realize is, they are hurting more than just Nutt by their protest. At Saturdays game it was said that there were at least 19 top recruits at the game. These poor kids see this slop going on and they have to be thinking, I want no part of this circus, They hate the coach here, what happens if I screw up?
The dumb bastards are running off any future we hope to have by these actions they are taking against the program.

Exactly ,this is no time for this dissention. This rest of the season is just starting and these jackoffs are ruining it for recruiting and respect. This should be resolved at the end of season. If Nutt pulls his ass out of the fire and wins out including bowl game win. Do you think he will stay? NO... I ain't no Houston supporter or darksider but I am a true Razorback fan. Win or Lose... There's no time for this bullsh!t. So what if we didn't win by 50 against UTC. I've seen us lose to Citadel,Memphis,S.M.U.,Rice, and other mid to lower caliber teams. Some fans just need to get a grip on thier self-gratification and quit fkin whining..:glare: JMO

Sadly, this kind of crap is nothing new. Ken Hatfield had a 55-17-1 record at Arkansas (yes I had to look it up). But I recall him having two sub-par years at the end and the fans basically ran him out the door.

Then we were blessed with Jack Crowe (Remember the Citadel!), Joe Kines (great DC, just not a good HC), Danny Ford (and Hog fans complain about Nutt's character?)

Be careful what you wish for Hog fans.

I would think that at some point the University had to approved of a plane buzzing either stadium. Or at least someone in ground control or the owner of the plane or somebody involved in all the processes it must take to allow a plane to fly circles around a large city could have thought that it was innappropriate and said no. I can't believe all those people involved said yes.

Ya know, not only is it bad for the recruits but it also really sucks for the current players...must feel pretty shi**y to be on sideline and see your coach being bashed....might motivate initially but I imagine it would get old and wear you down after a while

Plus, it's a downer while you're trying to get excited for a game.

The planes often fly advertising banners over Arkansas games. Especially at Little Rock. I've even see hot air balloons with signs drift pass. Though they're usually advertising car dealerships vs. bashing coaches.

Make sure someone finds a picture of the Nutt supporter plane racing the Nutt basher plane! I think that would be interesting. What is the Nutt supporter plane even going to say?

"We won the SEC West last year"?

First, how can a Gator fan point a finger? If I am not wrong, they did the same to Zook. Second, there were donations off more boards than Hogville. Hogville is just the thing everyone blames for every problem. Some people are prbably convinced the fans on there forced us to lose to UK and Alabama.

Finally, if another HC thinks we'll treat him like this, he's wrong. Heath's teams were consistently worse than his, and noone hated him half as bad as Nutt. Nutt put himself in this positions. Arkansas fans are desperate to support something. Good coaches like Nolan Richardson, John McDonnell, and Dave Van Horn have seen amazing support for them and their programs.

Arkansas basketball fans under Nolan and still today are probably #2 in the SEC to UK. John McDonnell is the only track coach in the nation where more than 20% of the fans know the track coach's name. The Foundation even awarded him with the best track facility in the nation. Dave Van Horn, although only having one good postseason run, has college baseball's number one field and Arkansas fans lead the nation in baseball attendance. John Pelphrey has come in and, even after a devastatingly embarrassing coaching search, has had widespread support from the fan base.

One season fly overs will do less damage than allowing Nutt to stays for another year. Everyone in the fan base knows these next couple of years could be rough. With Nutt, the situation will get even worse. With a new coach, there will be optimism for the future instead of the dread of another disappointing season like there is under Nutt.

Well Tommy Bowden might be looking for a job after this season....I wouldn't mind at all if Nutt went to Clemson and Bowden went to Arkansas. Best case scenario, IMO.

Tommy? no thanks, i rather take a gamble on some young up and coming coach (actually i have no clue how old tommy is, but you get the point)

No thanks.
Bowden's winning days are done and, besides, he just rubs me the wrong way (not literally, yuck). Seems like a real prick. Though I may just be thinking of the coach in Waterboy that always reminded me of him.
Just start the carousel of loser coaches that know nothing nor care about Arkansas that we'll get every other year, so we can get these haters to shut up already. I'm tired of seeing a banner or some black shirts everytime we loose more than one close game.

You dnt have to clear it with anyone. Those planes fly about as high as a helicopter so they dont have to clear anything except maybe blimp coverage or helicopters. Unless they get close to an airport.
