Let's not get stupid. I love they lost. But coaching wasn't the reason Booty sucked. Most people would take Pete Carroll in a heartbeat.

If Les loses a game, people will say he's an idiot. Pete (who has even MORE talent) loses a game, he's gets a pass. I just don't get it.

I say Les is an idiot because he runs his mouth (Seems my coach has the same problem). Pete seems to be a guy who's laid back and cool to go to the beach with. Hard to hate a guy like that. He's like a charachter from Dazed and Confused.

Personally I like someone like Les that runs his mouth. He does it with a lot more class then Spurrier, I'll tell you that much.

Don't cry for OSU, seems that Mike Gundy is doing a good job at making noise like Les did before him.

Okay BamaFanNKY, are you ready to admit that the Pac 10 is way overrated and far from the second best conference? So Cal just got beat by the Pac 10's worst team and they are far from the best team in the nation and are probably deserving of about 20th in the polls. ESPN and their love fettish for USC will continue though and they'll have about 50 stories this week how Stanford is the best team in the Pac 10 and USC shouldn't drop below 2nd in the polls because they are god's gift to CFB blah, blah....:blah: There at least 3 Big Ten teams that could hand USC their ass. Pac 10 = Overrated by monumental proportions!!!!

BamaFan talks more about his beloved Pac 10 more than he does about Bama. I would love for tOSU to go to the Rose Bowl but after other comments on this board, I hope somehow we get to play LSU in the NC game and prove that we can play with the SEC elite.

As far as the worst team beating USC.... I didn't think USC was the best team in the PAC this year. I think they are probably the 4th best. I would go Cal, Org, and ASU before USC. Losing in conf. doesn't prove a conference is weak.

I don't think anybody in this entire thread said the Pac 10 is weak. If they did, they're morons. I think the Pac 10 is the closest to the SEC in terms of depth and toughness of schedule.

Back to topic, it doesn't matter what the USC players do on the field. Because they always go back to their beach house in their Mercedes Benz afterwards. There is no unity on the USC sideline. No teamwork. Just a bunch of stars all working to get to the NFL after taking the field in groups of eleven. Stanford, on the other hand, believed in their coach and played with passion. Auburn should take a lesson from Stanford before they go into Baton Rouge next week.

Actually Kreiger..... this is a thread of many threads that discuss if the PAC 10 is the #2 conference or not. At the beginning of the year I made the statement they were clearly #2. I was killed on the borad for this. Most are swinging to my line of thinking now days. Just a few hanger ons.

Are you crazy? I'd just as soon be in the same boat with UGA and UT and NOT have to play LSU. LSU has already dismantled quite a few teams this year, while OSU has played... *crickets* Washington and an overrated Purdue team? The Buckeyes deserve their ranking that they've got, but I'm not so sure they can KO the Bayou Bengals.

And yes, I know, its the same thing that was said about UF heading into the title game last year. :dry:

If LSU runs the table, beating them is going to be quite the feat for anyone especially since the NC game is in their backyard this year. Since we are not sitting on the #1 position and being complacent like last year, I believe we have something to prove. Our strenght of schedule sucks this year but Washington IMO is a top 25 team and Purdue "had" the second best offense in the nation coming into last week. I think we have something to prove this year and we are starting to show it. After our ass whoopin by UF, Tressel emphasized speed on defense and it is definitely showing this year. According to experts, we are neck and neck with LSU for the best defense in the nation thus far.

USC just went up by a field goal in the first quarter with 5 minutes to go in the replay of the Stanford game on the VS channel. Anybody want to call the outcome of this one? :LOL_Hair::rolling2::rolling2::lol: My money's on Stanford.

They just said that the last time USC lost a home game was back in 2001 against STANFORD! Didn't know that.

Congrats on 1,000 posts. And I must say, you were not the determining factor for me believing the Pac 10 is strong. It's usually obvious after seeing the teams in each conference play.
