View Full Version : Saban lies again.

In an obvious attempt to deflect attention from his team’s two game losing streak, Saban has apparently lied again.

Nick Saban full of Bull with rip of South Florida (http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/more_sports/2007/10/04/2007-10-04_nick_saban_full_of_bull_with_rip_of_sout-1.html)

Talked like a warrior, acted like a weasel (http://thornspace.com/bearfound/sportsline.html)

Personally I think another factor motivating in his untrue comments is the fact that two top RB’s (Jamar Taylor and Mike Ford) have recently decided to play for South Florida rather than the mighty Crimson Tide. It’s appalling that any athlete would shun UA – with all the prestige and tradition surrounding the Capstone.

What Saban and bamers fail to realize is that the bamer prestige & winning tradition is a thing of a very distant past.

THORNSPACE.COM (http://thornspace.com/bearfound/dinasours.html)

Today’s athletes are more concerned about the music on the I-pods and being hip in the 21st century. This may come as a shock to bamers, but kids today don’t spend a lot of time researching which college football teams were dominant 30 years ago.

Finally, I think Saban understands that academics at Bama is second to none. The requirements to play at the Bama are similar to Harvard & Yale. It’s a known fact academic requirements for any player who puts on a football uniform for the University of Alabama is incredibly impressive. So why not take a cheap shot at another program currently enjoying success with much lower academic standards than the prestigious U of A.

Over on the Eastern part of the state, the Auburn Tigers are coming of an emotional upset against the Florida gators. Of course many of my bamer brethren have informed me just how overrated the Gators were and how Ole Miss had already exposed them. Time will tell. One thing the game did prove is that the Auburn Tigers are not going away anytime soon. On any given Saturday – AU can compete with anyone. Regardless of how the season turns out, Auburn will be a force for years to come based on the number of freshman who have not only played but performed much better than expected. AU has an incredible 24-4 record their past 28 SEC games. The Tigers success can be attributed to Tuberville’s philosophy of strong defense, strong special teams, and protecting the ball. AU had ten turnovers in their two losses which obviously didn’t bode well. The Tiger program is solid, something the bamers hope Saban can eventually match.

So, I’m learning the rules, heh? Thanks everyone so much for the flood of e-mails regarding ‘club rules’. I haven’t read them all yet but please continue sending me information to bamastillsux@yahoo.com.

ok, three things have been proven here:

(1) Mike Ford's grades kept him from playing for The Tide.

(2) Jamar Taylor has a daughter whose mother lives close to USF.

(3) Saban is a habitual liar.

Thanks for the updates.

Well said. I think it's funny how everyone on here thinks all we do is post anti-bamma. A lot is directed towards the joke that is ALA football but as you can see in northfla's post, we love our Tigers just as much as the next guy. It's our love for AU that brings out our hate towards bamma.

Alright bammers! Line up!

Trey, how is that funny when its true? I have seen a few posts by you that had nothing to do with Bama (very few). The other thorn (northfla) posts are at least 99.99999% trashing Bama. You can't argue with that. But if you rather be AUbsessed with Bama then I'm flattered. RTR.

You can call it AUbsessed with Bama, but you do realize what the sports world thinks of your football program? It's just too funny to ignore. Jeff Cameron hosts a sports talk radio show in Tallahassee. He is brutal toward the bamer nation. Read the sports pages outside of Alabama, watch ESPN. It's not just me.

Prior to Saban, it was all about the gloried history of bamer football. Now suddenly it's about the future of bamer football. When will it be about what currently happens between the sidelines?

Plus I think your calculations are off. I come up with 98.99999%. But didn't this bamer bashing thread not end up with compliments of my beloved AU Tigers? I get it now. I'm slowly learning the rules. I will continue to expose bamers because of their arrogant, condescending attitudes. But I will always end it with comments regarding AU. I'm learning through the many e-mails I have received when I requested 'club rules'. Please keep sending me information to bamastillsux@yahoo.com.

P.S. I still did not get the memo/e-mail regarding bamer/Auburn rivalry rule changes. Please forward that one to me ASAP!

What is so pathetic and sad is that most flamers at least do (in part) what they do for giggles but you really buy into the spew. As soon as these same people that you say are brutal toward Bama turn their sights toward AU, you will stick your head back into the sand. You have not exposed any arrogant or condescending attitudes on here. When you find an example, please point it out. The only posts I have seen on this board that would fit that criteria have been authored by you. I'm not trying to flame here but do you have mental issues? seriously?

Ya'll better be careful saying negative things about a person of Saban's stature--don't you remember the Biblical story of salt pillars and locusts?

I dont understand the constant flamming of Saban??? What has he done to deserve it is my question. All he wants is to do his job. HE wants to coach so let him coach. I understand that there are a ton of Alabama fans want him to be out in public and want to talk to him but he needs to be able to do his job. You people pay him the big bucks all he wants is to show you he can earn that money. All of this outside hate on him has me confused to. Sure he said he wouldn't leave his old team but ya know he made a choice and Bama haters need to get over it.

Saban told no lie, this thread is just one more example of Nfla's less than average knowledge of football. I see why Coach L wasnt very happy about the statement, but its no secret that USF has a bunch of talented kids who would have went somewhere else with better grades. Mike Ford is a good example.

If at all possible, please try to deflect future bamerbabble with facts.

Saban told no lie?

But someone did...

Saban quote "I think there are six guys starting on South Florida's defense who probably could have gone to Florida or Florida State, but Florida and Florida State couldn't take them."

Leavitt's response "Six defensive starters? Why's he making a statement like that? Florida, Florida State didn't recruit those guys anyway." Leavitt also claimed he had two non-qualifiers on his 110-man roster and both are on track to graduate. He offered to resign if those facts weren't true.

But Saban didn't lie just - just like 'AU fans were spitting on Brandon Cox when he was walking back to the locker room after the USF loss'. Maybe Saban's reputation of lying, is rubbing off on some of the fan base.

You have no understanding of the English language do you?. How could anyone be so ignorant to post what you did with a quote and call it a lie? Its right there in front of you..."I think...."
You still probably don't understand what I'm getting at here.

(From another thread)

Bama lost to AU for the 5th time, fired a coach, hired a coach, had kids get arrested, dont forget lost their 3rd string QB, and they just lost 2 recent games in a row but still with all this ammo, you still manage to get your ass handed to you in almost every dumbass thread you start.

When im right im right. Is getting humiliated by Bama fans one of your hobbies? As for Cox, I THINK somebody spit at him after the USF game. Feel better? Also, I stand by my earlier statement concerning your limited knowledge of anything football. This thread pretty much confirms that.

So when the highest paid coach in the country prefaces a lie with 'I THINK' during a publicized press-conference, the rest of the nation is supposed to totally disregard the lies that follow? And when your absurd statement that just like 'AU fans were spitting on Brandon Cox when he was walking back to the locker room after the USF loss', is changed to 'I THINK somebody spit at him after the USF game' - then suddenly your statements are justified? I guess while looking through crimson-colored glasses - you are correct is stating that 'When im right im right. Is getting humiliated by Bama fans one of your hobbies?

shk999, your never-ending effort to to twist facts and change your original statement is noted.

I understand that most of the posters in this forum have respect for each other and that many in this forum think I carry the Auburn-Alabama rivalry a bit too far. But with posters like shk999, crimsonnation713 & timNem, I feel my job is never complete.
