Who gets the start vs UF? Personally I would like to give Kodi the start and see how he does on the first series! ...and go from there.

That is a good question. I'm pretty sure Florida has been preparing for Cox and his pocket passing style all week. Putting Burns in might throw Florida's young defense off kilter somewhat. I think it all depends on how much of the offense he has a good grasp on. Florida has struggled more in stopping the passing game more than the running game. If he still only has a handful of passing plays then they need to start Cox. Either way, they should get him in the game at some point. I do think it was a big mistake for them to ever consider redshirting him this year. They should have taken Florida's use of Tebow last year as a good lesson to what can happen when you prepare your future QB by spelling him in games instead of working with the scout team. I think one of the major reasons Tebow has had the success he's had thus far is due in large from the valuable playing time he got last year. For better or worse Burns redshirt is now gone so they need to get the most from this season as possible. The more he plays, the more he learns.

They will definately use Burns in the game but I think Cox starts and he probably deserves it after his play against NMSt. Burns wasnt that great passing in the game and the one TD he threw was well under thrown but the receiver made a great adjustment to the ball. I cant remember if I posted this or not but Montez Billings is getting the start at Flanker. I hope that lights a fire under Robert Dunn and makes him perform like he knows he should. He dropped a beautiful TD from Cox last week. We need him to step up and we need his speed!

True story. And just think about the 40s that these guys run. The UF defensive line has got to have at least an astounding 4.5 guy up there, while Cox is around the staggering 4.9 mark? Either way, if we leave Cox in there one too many plays, he will get hurt. I think Cox is more dangerous in the shotgun than any other formation. He actually moves around in the pocket and buys time in the shotgun. That is exactly what we need to support Kodi's legs!

And they should give the exact same amount (if not more) of carries to Fannin that they do with Tate. We need fresh legs 100% of the time in there against that fast UF defense. Not to mention Fannin's pure freshman greatness! WDE

It's Blake Field, and while he's no Seth Adams, he's a good enough backup. Right now we're sticking to Brandon and Kodi.

On his good days, Brandon Cox is as good as Chris Leak was. On his bad days, Brandon is worse then Leak was when he was bad.

Kodi Burns is Tebow-esque, clearly.

After two games he is like Tebow wow . I hope you don't throw this kid under the bus if he don't meet that standard.

I thought I was doing a favor comparing Cox to Leak but apparently that wasn't worth bringing up by you.

I think Cox is fine he makes some error but what QB don't . You can say what you want about Leak Winning it all is all he did. I thought I would take the high road and let you believe in your QB . I was more worried about the kid than the old man Cox.

Hey guys I wish you all the best in this game . I have been looking forward to this since last year. Auburn always pumps me up . I have more Auburn friends than any team so it is sweet to play yall. I feel like this last year yall did us a favor by beating us hell we may not have won it all if you did not beat us. So heck welcome to the Swamp and lets get through this game without the injures.

I don't think I would use Cox. But, if he starts and doesn't do well, they can always pull him in favor of Burns. Kodi is your future.

Kodi is our future, but tell me this.

When we play you guys in a couple weeks, it's all but clear you're gonna wax us. Even the most ardent Auburn fan can concede that we have little chance of beating you, at best.

My question is if we start Cox when we play ya'll, will your D absolutely crush him? Our O Line against your experienced and FAST D? At least in playing Florida, I don't worry that we'll have to have the MedFlight Chopper ready on a moment's notice for Cox.

I have a strong feeling that Auburn will bring their best game of the year to Baton Rouge; they always do. On paper, it does look like it could be a runaway. But in real life, between these two teams?! Runaways are practically non-existent. Our D line and linebackers will likely brutalize the QB, no matter who it is. They are good, they are fast, and they are big.
But there are few defensive linemen in the same category with Quentin Groves. Unfortunately, he's about it for your D. We have a slew of good ones. But, as I said, Auburn will definitely bring their "A" game to the Bayou.
