Enrique Davis was listed as a 4-star 2007 recruit for us. He went to prep school and is now listed as a 5-star 2008 recruit. I am assuming that this is a common occurance nationwide since I'm getting this from recruits.com. But dont things like this throw off the national ranking lists for recruiting? How does he move from a 4-star to a 5-star? Why has there been such a big deal about UA out recruiting us in-state this year since that seems to happen every year from my comparisons on rivals.com?

I would not worry about recruiting stars anymore than polls in the first four weeks of the season. Both are completely subjective.

Davis was only worth of being a 4-star when compared to the other HS RBs. Now that he's at Hargrave and that this may be a down year for RBs or he's gotten bigger faster, they moved him to a 5-star.

Hey thanks for the replies! It just seemed misleading for a team to get credit for a recruit twice. I figured that the star system was sorta like the SATs, not a measure of potential achievement or aptitude. Either way I'm sure glad he's with us. With the performance by Georgia's Moreno and Brown, their trying to take our title of RB U!:laugh:
