Auburn added two more freshmen as starters on the offensive line in Saturday's game against New Mexico State. Ryan Pugh and Chaz Ramsey were figuring on a redshirt year until injuries to King Dunlap and Mike Berry brought them to the forefront. Both played well and look to start this week in the Swamp. This now gives Auburn three true freshmen starters on the offensive line. The task ahead for these young guys is daunting but will pay dividends in game experience down the road. It will up to them to carry over their success from their debut if Auburn hopes to continue it's recent trend of success when playing top 10 opponents.

This scares me to death! I know they are talented. But, starting on the road in the SEC? And, on the road in the Swamp? I hope they play well. But, I have a really bad feeling about this. At least Florida lost most of their starters last year, so they are young too.

Young defense for the gators and young offense for us. Nobody seems to think we have a prayer. Maybe their right. But then again maybe their not. I've seen some on here all but guaranteeing a donkey stomping. We'll just have to see what happens. Auburn has a way of winning when no one says they will.

My wife teaches a freshman english class that Pugh is taking. She is very impressed with him as a student and had no clue he would be playing so soon. Guess none of us did:laugh:. When they grade out the O-Line we will get a better idea of how well they did, but it appeared that he and the other diaper dandies held their own. I think they will be fine against the gators. As usual, Im more concerned about dropped passes:sad:

Please excuse my lapse in syntax. I suppose you have never had such an egregious error.
