Gator Fans in Oxford

Heys gators, I had a question. This is in no way to offend so please do not take this the wrong way. How would y'all describe your fan base? I was very surprised. I 've never seen so many piercings and tatoos! If that's how y'all are; no problem here. It's just when I think about your group it looks nothing like what I saw on Saturday. I know we joke around about the jean shorts and wife beaters, but there it was. I have been around y'all a few times in my life and I don't remember y'all looking so "West Coast". Has there been a culture change?

Nope... that's pretty much it, and has been for as long as I can remember. Florida's like the East Coast Cali. It's an hour, hour and a half to the beach in either direction. Blondes, boobs, bikinis, bare butt babes, and bare feet. It's a Bohemian atmosphere, and more fun than is fair for any single college student. You also have to understand why the jorts thing. They're still worn in Florida because it's warm enough to wear shorts for over 300 of the 365 days in the year, and you can only wear khakis so many times. I'm less familiar with the wife-beater phenomenon, but I imagine it's the same principle... it's sunny all year long, and folks want the coolness and the tan. UF has over 50,000 students, and Sante Fe Community College, which is like a primer for UF, has another 10,000 or so. That adds up to one big co-ed experience and lots of bikinis. Oh, and there are significantly more women than men.:thumbs:

Do you know about a guy named "stubby"? He says he is a huge long time supporter and even had two NC rings from '96 and '06. I figure he must be big on the scene to get the hardware along with the team!

Well, I hope that the Florida fans had a great time in The Grove and around Oxford even if they didn't fit the standard Ole Miss attire for gamedays. Gotta love the 12 different styles of the SEC and how distinct each is from the other.

I wasn't going to mention the women. I'm sure they were misrepresented. That must have been the B sqaud b/c there are some pretty good looking women in Florida. They just didn't come to Oxford. I'm just kidding y'all. I shouldn't bash the Florida fans who traveled b/c I enjoyed speaking to most of them.

Oh all the ones I met on the Square after the game and while at dinner were fantastic. I was unfortunately scarred on the walk to the Grove after the game.

That picture changes every time I see it.:laugh: Tebow's been doing some heavy lifting of all sorts. The last time, it was a 300 pound guy he was carrying around. Now the secret's out, and everyone knows why he's so friggin' strong... yep, he carries fat people around all day.:happy:
