Thank God, ESPN picked up the Florida vs. Auburn game. Now the game will take place at 8:00 PM in the Swamp instead of 5. Can't wait!

Good news for me.
Meyer aka "The Avenger" gets a chance to avenge his losses from the previous season(as he did last year)
I think Florida will play lights out at the swamp!

I believe that The Gators have run up on Auburn at the wrong time. That said, I believe that the game will be closer than many think. I won't go out on a limb and predict a win, but anything is possible.

At the wrong time for Auburn or the wrong time for UF? I know you aren't inspired by a lopsided win over New Pedro State University... that you were only winning by 1 at the half. We're a lot deeper than that, and won't be giving out after halftime. Our only concern will be letting up because the lead is so great.

And vice-versa...this young Gator team needed to be brought back down to earth...and OM did it. We played vanilla vs OM, didn't even utilize a third of our playmakers...and it nearly cost us. Thank goodness it should change this Saturday. We get Caldwell, Cooper, Pouncey and a couple of other players back for our game vs Auburn. This Gator team also said they hate to play early games....8pm should be right up their alley.

That said, I don't expect Auburn to lay down. Tubby is a great coach and you guys have some excellent talent on the team...I think our game vs OM revealed that, despite how well our defense played vs prior competition, their inexperience can cost us...hopefully, they'll be up to the task.

I really did not expect a response like that.

I think this game could be alot closer than people think. That said, it's completely up to Auburn's defense, because Meyer will have the boys ready to avenge last year's loss and the game is at 8:00 in the Swamp. If Auburn's defense can come out and shut up the crowd quickly with a few quick turnovers, they have a great chance to make a game out of this one.

either way, i would say that it is not wise talking too much smack, especially stuff like "Our only concern will be letting up because the lead is so great".
yeah everybody knows they are the favorite but in this conference (actually anybody this year) ANYBODY can win any weekend--if somebody wants to look smart and talk crap save it for AFTER the game

I'm happy about this as I'm working all day satruday and was going to have to miss the first half.

Everyone who's saying Florida is going to blow out Auburn doesn't come off as very acquainted with SEC football. A blowout is very possible, but to state it as fact or something sure to happen is ridiculous, not because Florida isn't good enough, or Auburn is too good, or anything like that, but it's SEC football. Florida squeaked by Ole Miss by less than one score. In the end, Florida will likely win by 10 or something in that neighborhood.

Hell, Auburn could even win. It'd take quite a few things, at least a +2 turnover margin, at least one big special teams play, and Cox effectively managing the offense. I know he can do it, he's done it before, and he'll be confident coming off his performance against NMSU, and he got the job done vs. the Gators last year.

Before you flip your lid, calling me a retard, or a dumb barner, or a homer, notice I said could. It's not likely to happen, but this is the SEC.

time for War Pigeons. Meyer said today there will be something in store for them. Wonder if he means play music real loud and get our own Replay ref.lol I wanted this game since last year and I want no mercy. Call it what you may but after this Sat. this game needs to be a showcase game. Auburn still has a great team and I know a blowout may not happen but boy would it be sweet.

This could be one of the most interesting match ups we've seen between Florida & Auburn in some time. And considering the history of this series that is saying something. UF's offense looks like a world beater wile Auburn's defense should be the best squad Tebow and company have faced thus far. On the other side Auburn's offense finally came to life last weekend, even if it was New Mexico State that they did it against. Florida's defense has shown signs of growing pains and if Auburn can get off on the right foot this Saturday night, it could be a really good game. I don't think anyone is giving Auburn much of a chance in this one but as history will bear witness, that is when Auburn is at it's most dangerous.

Have the Auburn fans been absent from the games this season?

autiger1126

no, but florida didn't exactly impress against ole miss and we finally put some points on the board so there's hope. auburn has won 12 straight on the road and have won like 50% of games against top 10 opponents in the last 20 games. i wouldn't anticipate a blowout.

I think our home record over the last 3 years has been impressive enough.
As in 18 straight home games. Yeah Auburn has to play us at the swamp this year.

Auburn has only won there last 6 games on the road. They lost to LSU last time they played in Baton Rouge.

If we can eliminate some turnovers the Taters may be praying for another one loss shot @ the title.
