Hogs fans take note. Kentucky had several reasons to quit in this football game. Giving up a early touchdown to the Razorback defense, fumble on a kick off and because of a error by a running back in the endzone, a safety to see the hogs go up by 1 in the fourth quarter. Then to see Arkansas take the free kick to the house for a touchdown.
But because of great calls from the sidelines and a group of young men believing in a system, these guys showed the country to never give up no matter what has happen in the early going. Coach Brooks did a job on the hogs at home. Some fantastic calls from the pressbox seal the hogs fate in this one. More than likely what chance Darren McFadden had of winning the Heisman went out the window tonight.
I don't know where the energy had gone from the hogs. None of the spirit was shown tonight as it was on a come back in Tuscaloosa last Saturday. It must have been left on the field in Alabama.
Nobody better blame this loss on the virus that some of the players caught earlier that affected their performance. That's BS. This is the SEC you better have a back up plan. Kentucky came in here with a game plan, stuck to it, never loss focus and BEAT Arkansas at their own game. Running the football. Accept it, and get use to it. Cause until we can show we have some kind of game plan entering a game, this is going to be a ongoing experience.
Cat fans, that was a great win for a up and coming program. Congratulations. You earn every bit of it. Continued success.

Thanks TD. Extremely classy post, and right on the money. UK teams in the past would have folded at halftime, or most certainly after the safety/kick return TD 1-2 punch that landed squarely on UKs jaw. It is sad that this loss for Ark could kill DMac's chance at the Heisman. He is one very special player, for sure.
I'll have to say, I don't understand why Nutt EVER called for a pass to be thrown, but I'll leave it to you hog fans to turn up the heat on Nutt.
Best of luck the rest of the way. You guys can still make some noise in the west, IMHO.

Tect, with the pressure off and the chance to go unbeaten, as some really homer fans thought would happen, maybe Houston Nutt and his staff can go back to playing to win. I agree with you with Dmac, and how it look as if he will not get the chance to show the football world, all his talents. Guys like this should be playing for a Florida or a Southern Cal, where coaches let the athlete shows his athletic skills without being killed.
I hate it for Houston. Tonight is surly his death wish, or should I say the fans who hate him finally got their wish. Nutt truly loves Arkansas, It is his home, but the guy got caught up in the big time business of college football and dirty politics with Frank Broyles. Being a yes man to him was Houston's down fall. He got to worrying about the fate of his job and his legacy at Arkansas.
I've been hard on a new comer to the league this year and though I still can't stand him as a human, Nick Saban did something tonight in his post conference media interview that I have to say I admired. He held his head up, looked into the eyes of the guy who ask the question, and told him, "My guys didn't play with the intensity than have played with in the past. And that's my fault. IM responsible for getting these players ready for that. I didn't do a good job doing that this past week, But we will make the necessary measures to correct this problem" Yeah, maybe it's psychology for his team, but in the end he put his ass out there for the media, by taking responsibility, something Arkansas fans have waited for from Houston Nutt.

TD, if Nutt so loves Arkansas, why did he contact three other jobs this off-season and transfer after his freshman year at Arkansas?
Hey, man, that no-coaching piece of useless flesh is DONE.

Who is the new coach if you fire Nutt oh Grand Administrator of All — Smithian? Give a solution for once versus whining.
I really want to strangle Nutt with his play-calling at times. But like TD, my current gripe is where are all the trick plays? Even before Malzahn Arkansas pulled fast ones on defenses, but not any more. When your offense is one dimensional, you have to do something tricky. IMO.
Unless the UofA can bring in someone who wins national championships I'll stick with Nutt. I remember the Jack Crowe - Joe Kines - Danny Ford era. I don't want that again...
