That guy went 45-65 for 555 yards and 4 touchdowns... and still lost to previously winless Syracuse. Syracuse, by the way, ranked at or near the bottom in all of college football in virtually every offensive category prior to this game. Has UL's defense doomed Brohm's chances of taking home the trophy?

The defense and Kagthorpes piss poor ability to coach a team.

Yes.

It's not just Louisville...the Big East doesn't play defense. Yet, the pundits keep 'em ranked up there with legitimate teams...go figure.

South Florida plays good defense. Ask Brandon Cox and the rest of the Auburn Tigers.

Alabama's defense is thin as paper but I don't think I have ever seen a defense as bad as Louisville's. Its not only that they can't tackle but their secondary has no concept of coverage at all.

Brian Brohm is doomed cause the BIG "EASY" EAST sucks. I'm starting to like the South Florida Bulls. But they seem to be the only team in that conference that knows how to play football. I also like the fact that they are making their own history right now. You know they weren't even a school just over 6 years ago.

The University of South Florida was established in 1956.

They have had a football program since 1997.

The South Florida Bulls are a Division I-A college football program that plays its home games in Tampa, Florida. The team began playing in 1997 and has had only one head coach, Jim Leavitt. After competing their first four years as a Division I-AA independent, the Bulls moved to Division I-A in 2001 but remained independent. They joined Conference USA in 2003 until becoming a member of the Big East in 2005.

Just sayin'

Louis HAD a decent defense last year...probably the best in the big east (comparatively speaking)...what the hell happened?

Mike Cassity will return for his fourth season with the Cardinals, serving three years as defensive coordinator and one as co-defensive coordinator. Since Cassity has taken over the defense in 2004, Louisville has finished in the top 40 defensively after each season.

There ya go

Brohm can put up 500. McFadden can put up 300. But Woodson gets the #s and the wins. Lets get real here.

Has Woodson ever put up 500?

So I guess the answer would be no, he doesn't put up the #s

Woodson set the NCAA record for passes w/out an interception yesterday. I think that's putting up #s. Woodson consistently puts up 275-350 yds....sometimes more. That's putting up the #s. Why am I even arguing Woodson's ability w/you. If you can't acknowledge that, then don't waste my time.

I think Brohm is pretty much out of the Heisman race. And as much as it surprises me to say this, Tebow has put himself into the Heisman picture. He carried us in our first away game yesterday and he also led the charge against Tennessee.
