I said it all along that we would lose this game. LSU is so much better than USC its not even close. Spurrier's play calling in this game was horrible. And damn if Cook intercepted Flynn on that one pass, some momemtum would have sung out way. But I said we'd lose and LSU would bring other USC fans back to earth and I hope they did that.

Honestly I dont know. I will though go out on a limb and say we might lose to MSU next week. I think this might be drag...look what happened with Louisville and Nebraska. Granted Nebraska won, they barely and i mean barely beat Ball state and Louisville got killed by Syracuse. I think we might have a big time hang over from this game especially because of the question mark at QB. Smelley is just as prepared as Mitchell so I dont know why we can play him.

From this game though, I learned two things about USC. Our secondary is pretty darn good, granted LSU didnt throw the ball much, everything they earned they had to work hard for it. The safeties know how to hit. Cory Boyd really struggled in this game but he has heart. He didnt stop playing at all. Also I dont know why Mike Davis wasn't in the game much. WHen he was running the ball, we have a little bit of success.

I dont know if you watched Gameday or not...Herbstriet (sp) segment and pick for the UGA/Bama game was a classic definition as to why I think UGA will win.

I don't think this game will effect our team very much. It may effect a small portion of our fanbase, but only just a portion. I didn't see any more of USC fans over-reacting about USC beating LSU and running the table and going undefeated than I saw UGA fans over-reacting about UGA contending for the SEC East, lol. But either way, the fans don't penetrate the team that much.

Spurrier knew the odds for beating LSU. I'm sure the team did as well. And Spurrier already stated this during his weekly call-in radio broadcast show: losing to LSU does not lessen our chances of contending for the East division. Even I predicted in April that we won't do this, but we still have a chance. I just want to see improvement in our offense on a weekly basis. I don't know that I saw that this week.

We still can win the next 4 games: MSU, UK, UNC and Vandy. None of them will be easy, although UNC looks to be the easiest. If we can get through the next month like I'm predicting, we will enter KnoxVegas at 7-1, and 4-1 in the SEC. I had thought that TN would edge UF for the East title this season, but obviously that may be reversed. But so far, my predictions for the season are spot on (even if the scores are a bit different)....

When it comes down to it, SOS is only beneficial when there are teams that are contending to play for the NC, and want to get into the upper rankings for positioning. SOS won't matter worth a hill of beans in SEC Division standings: SEC wins and losses will. Right now, with our loss to LSU, we are falling down the standings. UGA is one of the teams that are still below us. I will root for Alabama and Arkansas, because I want that to remain that way....

it was a great game. LSU was clearly the better, more physical team. I think we'll rebound just fine. I don't see a problem with us winning the East and rematching against LSU in Atlanta, but with that said, there is still a lot of football left. Lots to go wrong, or lots to go right. We'll see. Great game LSU. You'll have to wait another week before you actually put a whopping on somebody though.:)
