Looks like the biggest problem is his line. That and he holds on to the ball WAY too long.

you know what, i almost feel sorry for him...almost. then i get reminded of how he committed to ND and i don't feel sorry for him.
it's pretty funny watching his "OL"...if you can call them that. on the play where he got hit by all 4 DL watch the right guard just stand there. haha (pause at 1:16)

Well, with an 89.40 effic. rating, -104 yards rushing, and 2 of the team's 12 fumbles, he's well on his way... where he's on his way to, I couldn't say.

I agree with the announcer, "Jimmy is just trying to get to his 20th birthday, right now." At this rate, he's going to have a very short career.

Clausen is getting no help though. His offensive line sucks. He can't do anything with the ball if he doesn't have time to throw it. I haven't watched much Notre Dame this year, but from what I have seen, after the ball is hiked, the defense is in the backfield. Being a true freshmen, it's not easy to adjust when you do have time, let alone when you have 1 second to throw the ball.
Give him a little bit of a break.

Excellent play! There is obviously little doubt where the Trophy will go this year. You couldn't possibly suggest anyone more deserving...He is in the stratosphere of Heisman hopefuls!

I don't know anything about his personality. All I know is that he came out of high school the top ranked recruit in the Nation, and was just put in a bad position on a bad team. I'm not going to judge a player by how he plays as a true freshman on a horrible team. It's just not fair. We'll see in the future how good he really is.

It kind of surprises me that a Tennessee fan would be taking up for Jimmy Clausen after he shuned Tennessee (where both his older brothers played) and went running off to Notre Dame. Hell if you ask me he's getting what he has coming to him - LOL. And this is coming from a Georgia fan. I HATE Notre Dame though - you reckon that might have a little to do with it also??
