Good read from The Auburner website:

Finally, a note to the booing fans: You woke up early on a Saturday to watch Brandon Cox throw interceptions. You’re angry. It’s understandable. You boo him though? Why? Do you think the display of your disproval will motivate him to not throw into double coverage?

No.

Cox made you unhappy and you wanted to hurt him emotionally as payback.

Auburn football players no longer like you. If they magically turn into an awesome football team in the next couple of weeks, you’ll cheer - but you’ll be cheering for people who don’t like you. What’s the point?

Where’s the fun in that? If they don’t magically turn into an awesome football team, you’ll keep booing for no reason. It’s a no win situation for you. Even if Brandon has seen his last snap as a quarterback, he’ll get the last laugh, because he knows he’s better than all of us. After all, he’ll never wake up early to watch us suck.

The Auburner is a good site for any football fan with a good since of humor. I've had them book marked for some time now and i love the site. They make a very good point here about Brandon as well.

Good read but let's not forget it happens everywhere, NFL too. I'm not justifying any form of booing your home team but SEC fans are passionate and it's tough seeing the team struggle when they played so well under Cox before. I can't help but wonder if something in Brandon's personal life is going on and it's distracting him. He's always been the guy that bounces back after something goes wrong but he just doesn't seem to be doing it so far this year.

Either way, you'll never see me booing my team. Times are tough at the moment but there is still a lot of football left to be played before that one game in November.

Yea, I know the booing goes on everywhere and it will happen again at Auburn, as for the NFL, screw them, they get paid good to play good, and if they play bad then boo them all you want.

I posted an email message from our Dean of Students about the booing on another thread. I should have posted it here but I didnt want to start another thread on that subject. The Auburn Family has been reprimanded alot for our inexcusable behavior. I hope and expect to see a different attitude this weekend. Both towards Tubby and Cox! I know we're better than that.
