MANY of you last week said Bama stood no chance in hell. And what could have been a blowout was stopped by a very commendable comeback with a shot to win.

So, pluses and minuses from your game this week? Rest of the season outlook?

If McFadden doesnt win the heisman (if he keeps playing this well) it would almost be a shame (and yes, Swinetime, i iknow I said SLaton > Mcfadden..it's called trolling)

Pretty close. Good call Ramp.

Seriously, I hated to see us lose, I thought we had the better team. But you can't spot anyone in the SEC 21 points on the road and expect to win. Kentucky is key. if we can survice the 'Cats, the schedule sets up for a nice run, and we could well be 7-1 when South Carolina visits. Lose to kentucky, and the grumbling really starts. I'm not sure this team can handle a 1-2 start.

I think Ark. will win most of their games and represent the SEC very nicely, in a bowl game. They will have a successful year.

Well if Saturday was any indication of how it's going to go with road games and other SEC opponents durning the rest of the season, The plused are they can come back from 21 points down. The minuses are Darren McFadden won't be around to see if he could have in fact won the Heisman. At this rate I give him until halftime of the Auburn game until he will be lost for the season. 33 times rushing the ball for one guy is way too many. Especially in the SEC. And the sad fact is, if not for the slight concusion to D-Mac, he would of had possiblity 4 more carries in the Bama game.

If the players heads are still hanging from the Bama loss this Saturday, Kentucky will easy hand the hogs it 2nd loss on back to back Saturdays. Woodson will make an unperpared DB look worst than John Parker Billy Bob Wilson did in Tuscaloosa. Reggie has got to pick up the pace to get these young guys ready for what looks like the best QB they may face this season.

Offense didn't use their entire play book against the Tide in the loss Saturday. Casey Dick played good enough to win in his last outting. Like I've said this year, Casey doesn't have to be great with these horses behind him, just good. An average QB can take this offense a long way. So offensively we are OK even wiothout the absents of Marcus Monk. 38 points most weeks in the SEC equals a win.

It all fall back to defense has to step up and become much better, and quickly. And a better job being able to finish. For the Arkansas staff to lead these guys back in a hostile enviroment, with 93,000 plus screaming fans, to take the lead by wearing down a pretty damn good defense, in the fourth quarter by attacking them, only to see them comeback to win, is a hard pill to swallow for players and fans alike.

Houston Nutt, once a river boat gambler, not knowing what he would pull from his hat next, is now a different kind of coach. Is it the pressure of the SEC? Is it the changes going on in the UofA Athletic Department? Is it the way fans of late have turned on him? Whatever it is he needs to get back to his roots. Do what got him to Arkansas. Time of having to worry about your job is long past. Flip the bird, to the Nutt Haters and circle the damn wagons and get back to having fun. And look into the camera and take some of the responsiblity for errors that goes against us. Fans are forgiving if you show your human.

Bear Bryant after a losses back in the 60's, early 70's use to tell the media, 'IM the head coach at the University of Alabama. It starts with me and finishes here with me also" People say that was easy for the Bear to say due to his long contract with the school. But IM not sure about that. Bear was from a different era. I think, and believe this with all my heard, If Bear Bryant was 2-7, going into his last game of the season with no extended contract to rest on, He would still address the fans, school adminstrators, media, you and me, the same way. "IF YOU WANT TO BLAME SOMEONE BLAME ME, IM THE HEAD FOOTBALL COACH AT THE UNIVERSITY OF ALABAMA"

We well see Saturday about the rest of the season. I see we can go as good as 10-2, or as bad as 6-6.
