Around water coolers throughout the state this morning, would be coaches explain what Houston Nutt & staff did wrong in Tuscaloosa Saturday evening, and how if they had wore the head-sets on the Arkansas sidelines a different outcome would have surly taken place. Other hog fans who had higher expectations of a undefeated season cried on morning call-in shows to any host that would listen to the homers tales of what could have been.
Like most, IM still feeling the shock of the game plan which is still questionable, and how little the hogs had improved with a week off preparing for the road trip to Alabama.
Most the things I heard from unhappy and hurt fans were the official's poor showing. As for me. I can't buy into that. Sure they were poor calls on both sides of the ball for both teams. But in this league you better make adjustments to the officials or your toast.
Other that that, not to much happy news with Kentucky coming in for another national televised game. (ESPN 2) This for most in the state is a hard loss to swallow. But we have a long way to go. And a lot to work on to get better.
The one good thing I did see today that made me pump my fist is this. I think Darren without a doubt soared back to the top of the Heismen race with his performance this weekend.

If the Vote Were Held Today

1. Darren McFadden
2. Patrick White
3. Tim Tebow
4. Colt Brennan
5. John David Booty
6. Brian Brohm
7. Steve Slaton
8. Sam Bradford
9. Ray Rice
10. Glenn Dorsey

Pretty cool that Soph sensation gator QB T.Tebow is getting notice for his outstanding start.

Keep your heads up Hog fans. Last Saturday could well have been a blessing for these guys. Might be the wake-up call they need.

Sports Illustrated had Tebow second in their Heisman watch, behind only Darren McFadden of Arkansas.

This was taken from SI shanksta13. I too would have him at #2 with the numbers he's put up thus far. Avoiding injury, he's the leader for the hardware for 08.

Ok, I got it from the website, hold on I'll get a link:

SI.com - Writers - Gene Menez: McFadden regains top spot in Heisman Watch - Monday September 17, 2007 12:20PM (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/writers/gene_menez/09/17/heismanwatch.091707/index.html)

I would just go ahead and give it to Tebow and call it a day.

McFadden is great but I really think T-bow will win more games for his team this year. Can u imagine if we would have got that guy.....unstopable!

Tebow or Sam Bradford deserve the award so far but the trophy always goes to an upper-classman. However Tebow has bee beyond dominant...bordering on legendary so far.

I am the world's biggest Rutgers apologist...but this is inexcusable. Rice's numbers are null ad void due to the lack of competition he's faced. Norfolk State??????

Colt Brennan will win the Heisman if it were voted on today. Sure Darren is great, but he cant put up the unrealalistic nubers as Colt Brennan.

Have you watched Brennan play? When you put up 6 TDs in one half, I don't care who you're playing, you have talent. To say he should not be in the conversation is ludicrous.

Whats even more impressive is his completion percentage. He isnt like Timmy Chang and goin 20/60 for 500 yards.
