This is a quote from today's article in the Montgomery Advertiser:

He's (Robert Dunn WR 6-0/175 JR) spent most of his career working in a low-profile capacity at slot receiver. Strong work on punt returns and a improved receiving mechanics have Dunn's stock soaring in the eyes of coaches.

Offensive coordinator Al Borges told Dunn after the USF game that the junior needed to be more visible.

Now Dunn is playing ahead of Prechae Rodriguez, whose two drops against USF prompted the change.

"He kinda had an off game. People have them," Dunn said. " They're looking for consistent play-makers. I could come out and do the same thing Saturday. This could be the last time y'all interview me about being (flanker). I'm just trying to work hard and make the plays I'm supposed to make."

Our running back situation will be fine one way or the other. There is no lack of talented RBs on the Plains. Now consistent receivers is a different story:sad: . I miss the days of Aromashdu, Obamonu, and Mix. This was the only time (except for the Frank Sanders era) that I expected our receivers to make big plays and was shocked:ohmy: when they didnt. I know we're a running team and that doesnt bode well for recruiting 5-star talented receivers. If CTT says Cox is our guy then he's our guy, but receivers have to catch the accurate balls that he throws. Even with all of our mistakes from the USF game, I believe that just one of those drops from Rodriquez could have won the game for us. If memory serves correct he dropped one that was a sure TD and one late in the 4th that would have kept the drive alive. Any thoughts?

I have been saying this on several different boards, including here. As much as BC is struggling we need someone to catch the ones he does throw good. I know he dont have a arm like JR had last year for LSU, and Kodi probably has a better arm too, but I saw BC throw one against KSU off balance from the end zone to the 40-45 so if we get a good one thrown down there and make a big play on it then the defense will back up some and open the run more.

Yeah, I'm glad they've put Dunn ahead of Prechae. But I hope he doesn't get hurt because he's a monster for us on the return team! But yeah, Prechae drops way too many balls. BTW where is this Swinton character?
