I've lurked here for a while, and...honestly, I love ya'lls team spirit
But lets be real
You guys are 1 dimensional. It's run run run. Casey Dick is not a good QB, nor can he manage a big game. While you guys can obviously win games on the ground, the fact you are so one dimensional is what will keep you from winning the SEC West...and possibly from finishing no higher than 4th
Possible losses this season
Alabama
Kentucky
South Carolina
Probable losses this season
Auburn (they get a whole month to find an offense)
Tennessee
LSU
I mean...you guys could be anywhere from 6-6 to 9-3. I think 8-4 is the friendly number

I much like yourself don't know what to expect from this team this year. But what if Casey Dick could go 10/15 for 150 or so yards each game? Which still isn't much, but possible. Can we win some of these games then?

Can you win? Sure
You can win if he goes 7-23 for 80 yards and 2 INT's...
but it's all about what I think will happen...

Don't need a link. How 'bout if i just say that Arky's lousy passing game threw for 24 TD's last year. How' bout Arkansas has made two trips to Atlanta for the CG since the last time the vols were there?
Maybe if you could explain where Auburn's offense is going to come from, that's help. Or why you neglect the fact that our run run run offense ran ran ran all over Tennessee last year?
To come on here and say that Arkansas is a running team and that Casey Dick isn't a great QB, wow. I hate to break it to you, but that's not news. Maybe you should just go back to lurking.

There is a certain amount of optimism we must have as fans.... There is only one game I feel uncomfortable about predicting a win in, LSU. Arkansas has great athletes. Most years they have fewer great athletes than most in the SEC and they have managed to compete despite that. This year, they have the best Player in the SEC and the second best player not named Darren McFadden, Felix Jones.
In the one game I've been to this season, Troy, I saw Arkansas struggle, and dominate on defense. To me, that is refreshing, to see a defense that struggles in the second quarter, giving up two TD's, and then holds the QB to 41 yards passing in the rest of the game. They corrected the problem in 30 minutes.
I think they still have a long way to go, but I think that if they can beat Alabama, they will beat Auburn and South Carolina. That leaves Tennessee, who has shown themselves slow on defense and young at WR. Even in the second game of the season, Tennessee struggled early to assert themselves. It will be interesting to see how this season turns out, but it would be silly to think that Arkansas is incapable of winning 11 games this season. Because they can compete with all of the teams in the SEC this year, the long shot being LSU.

I had ya'll going 10-2 with losses to us and Auburn. with Auburn's fall from grace, ya'll may go 11-1. i still think the bama game will be a good measuring stick for both teams for the #2 team in the West. but Felix Jones is far far far from being the second best player in the SEC.

Eh, I just saw an Article titled, "The top five players in the SEC who's name isn't Darren McFadden" and Glen Dorsey was no.1 and Felix Jones was no.2. Just liked the way it sounded.
Bama is ALWAYS the measuring stick for Arkansas, and vice-versa. I think this game is close, and Arkansas will probably score first because they have a better running game. The way the game has gone the past few years, both teams are conservative at first because it is usually the first real competition for either team in any given season.

now, referring to the bold...while I agree it would be silly to think they aren't capable of winning 11 games, it would also be silly to dismiss the notion that they could easily lose any of those games I mentioned either. The SEC is too even for a team that is somewhat one dimension as Arkansas...to be a hands down team to win 11 games.
I still like them at 8-4, or 9-3

Nice to know my reputation precedes me...
Absolutely, I can see Arkansas losing 4 games easily.... They have 4 road games this season, and two of them are in arguably 2 of the 3 most intimidating environments in the SEC and even the nation, Death Valley and Neyland. The Alabama game worries me, but I am leaning towards a W much more than I am for Tennessee and LSU. Alabama has looked sloppy, so while I still view this weekend as a swing game, I favor Arkansas to win the turnover, 3rd down conversion %, and consequently, the game. Arkansas has yet to show any signs of change as far as a passing game is concerned. That being said, they've only played one game and it was against a sun belt team. I have nothing more than a hunch to base this on, but I think they are saving the debut of this promised passing proficiency for the Alabama game. They had the Troy game well in hand by just running the ball and having D Dawg throw out of the wildcat, so their wasn't really any reason to give Bama tape to analyze.
Back to the record prediction... With South Carolina's win over Georgia I've changed that game back to a swing game for Arkansas along with Tennessee and Bama. The only straight up loss I've got is LSU and that is self explanatory.
